1.0 Introduction Communication is one of the most essential tools of organization, which helps to exchange information between people. According to Bovée and Thill (2012), “communication is the process of transferring information and meaning between senders and receivers, using one or more channels” (p.35). The process of communication is a significant part of any type of business activity. There is no doubt that success of every organization depends on effective communication. UNISON is not an exception. It has 1.3 million members, 1,200 staff and 1,300 branches. All of that requires good communication. Using efficient communication helps UNISON to increase performance of organization, its productivity and employees’ motivation. 2.0 Effectiveness of communication methods applied by Unison UNISON uses variety of communication methods in order to contribute development of communication process in organization. Some of the methods utilized by the company are e-mail, in-house magazine, meetings and Intranet. All of these communication tools help employees and members to deal with different types of challenges and difficulties, which they encountered within their workplace. Figure 2.0 shows four methods of communication process used by UNISON.
