Marketing objectives of Marks and Spencer is to ensure consumers are better informed about the products/services they provide. Evidently, M&S provide financial services in addition with products from home and clothing. Therefore, depending of the marketing strategy whether it is regional, national or international promotional activity will differentiate accordingly. Promoting a product as mentioned before allows the business to inform the market, increase demand and differentiate the product. For M&S to use integrated marketing they can boost the performance of sales of a particular product during specific times.
However, after instructing an agency to look for nurses on our behalf, I found that the agencies also struggled to find nurses. When they did find a suitable candidate, the nurse was in high demand from not only other Care Homes but also from the NHS. Due to this the nurse was able to be very selective regarding working hours, pay, etc and more often than not had already had several interviews arranged before I was sent their CV. Due to this, to this date, as a company, we have not managed to recruit any nurses using a recruitment agency. Recruiting from abroad also provided problems.
A procedure can be build to help the managers and consultant at the customer interface achieve new insights into the customer’s requirements and favorites. Lastly, customer-focused strategy is to enter industry that has strong strategic relations to the core adjoining industries. This is a mainly tempting alternative when the core industry is moving toward its operating effectively, produce surplus cash for reinvestment and full capabilities. New industries, naval, and army bases were being built during the home front. Women played a huge role in this because if they didn’t stay home and take over for the men, they wouldn’t have the money to raise their families. “Only one in nine of the 45,000 women who signed up were selected for duty overseas” (Suite101) so a large percentage of women stayed back home. The National Selective Service controlled the women and men. They would only make the decisions for them “who could join up and who could not, where they could work, and when they could change jobs.” (Thecanadianencyclopedia) It was a tough life, but it was the only way to support their husbands when their off to war.
The substantial increase in population due to immigration that occurs during this time goes on to affect the nation in positive and negative ways. Some of the adverse affects of such a rapid growth in population were overcrowding in cities, lack of jobs, and occasional food shortages. The Depression hit women, like other minority groups in American society, similarly harsh because of that payrolls of many communities and private companies were open only to males. The main role of women during the Great Depression was that of the homemaker. Some women had gone through college level education and, like their male counterparts, were having a difficult time of finding employment. Those with families had the task of keeping their family together, as the traditional view of motherhood role, when the principle moneymaker of the family was out of work. However, some women joined the work force and would do jobs that men previously had held.
