Tamika Camano September 7, 2013 Instructional Technology Professor Budoff COMPREHENSIVE CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY PLAN Rationale The Comprehensive Classroom Technology Plan will explain the five aspects of the plan, which are the Mission and Vision Statement, the Communication Plan, Integrating Technology, Software to Support Assessment Technology Ethics in the Classroom. An explanation of each segment of the plan will be discussed along with why it is and important part of the plan. Section One: Mission and Vision Statement A mission and vision statement is important in developing a comprehensive classroom technology plan. A properly planned mission and vision statement can facilitate “the advancement of technology, encouraging lifelong learning, and promoting professionalism. (American Journal of Health System Pharmacy)” The vision statement is a snapshot of where you want to be in your plan and the mission statement is the roadmap that you follow to get to your destination. Without proper vision planning there will be many obstacles keeping you from reaching your objective. (Chrisman, G. J., & Holliday, C. R.) The mission statement may change as to keep up with the fast paced technological environment but the vision statement stays constant as you work towards your goal. (Diloreto, G. E.) Vision To inspire inquiring minds to use critical thinking in a stimulating environment that allows them to reach their full potential through learning, knowledge and the use of technology. Mission To focus on skills, knowledge and expertise that reflects a current real world environment. To create a learning environment that allows creativity and individuality while encouraging students to be a part of the learning process. To frequently use assessments to gauge effectiveness. To constantly enhance my knowledge and skills by immersing myself
