My students will develop a community that respects each other in the classroom as well as out of the classroom. Once these goals have been met I feel that the rest of the year will be smooth sailing! (Gallagher, 1999-2012). In the field of education, good classroom management is essential ( Froyer & Iverson, 1999) . Encouraging and establishing student self-control through a process of promoting positive student achievement and behavior is what every classroom needs.
I will create this environment through an engaging curriculum, personable interaction, topic orientated discussions, and group work. Since my license will include an endorsement in Special Education my classroom management will include a focus on flexibility defined as the ability to respond to the moods, emotions and the capabilities of my students on any given day. Meeting the needs of my students, based on their individual need, will be a crucial part of my classroom management structure. I will accomplishment this by promoting self-management and self-efficacy in my students to the best of their abilities. Creating a predictable, consistent, and success-oriented environment will promote self-management in my students by creating, basic, daily routines with limited changes (Savage & Savage, 2010).
ESE 315 WEEK 5 JOURNAL POSITION STATEMENT ESE 315 Week 5 Journal Position Statement, As I read the statement in “Early Childhood Inclusion: A Summary”, I came up with the conclusion of what the creation of a sense of belonging and membership, positive relationships and reaching full potential means when working with all young children and families. First, I would make sure that my classroom environment accommodates all my students and the parents feel comfortable with their child in the environment also. Throughout my teaching career and working with all children and families I have discovered that the best therapy a child can have is from their peers, therefore making the classroom environment as confident and warm as possible has always been a key and success for me. I have always had a classroom where all kids were included and this made all my students more peaceful and kind to one another and vey proud in their work and others as well. Since, I have been thinking of different ways of creating environments, seeing children’s strengths, abilities, and communicating with families during this class, I am going to briefly discuss two things I plan to implant in my professional experience.

All students’ interests, strengths, and cultural backgrounds are welcomed and valued. I treat all students equitably and interact and communicate with them to make them feel cared for, listened to, and respected. My efforts to respond to all student questions and to remain patient and calm contribute to my comforting, welcoming classroom environment. At the beginning of the year, I communicate my rules and expectations clearly and directly. I require students and their parents to sign a contract stating that they have read and understand my behavioral and academic expectations and consequences.
Inclusion and the Common Core Introduction to Inclusion To fully participate in an inclusive education program in your school means to allow all students to attend general education classes that are accepting and supportive learning environments for all students regardless of any disabilities or exceptionalities. When a student is welcomed into a neighborhood school it means to be a part of the school community and may now contribute in as many aspects of regular school life as desired. There are many benefits of inclusion into an age appropriate class and many schools are now incorporating the inclusive program into their school program and community. 1. As a teacher, I can promote resilience in my classroom by creating positive and caring relationships with my parents and children. Promoting caring relationships with my families would be top priority in my classroom. Parents have to trust that their children are safe and welled cared for when they leave their children in my care. For example, I would host a family day where the students can bring their parent s to school for the day.
This commitment models the expectations for the staff and proves that I, as a principal, must strive to create a school culture that has a positive influence on life and learning in my school. The entire thought of developing successful learning communities in my school is a great challenge. I realize that I have much to learn and everything will not happen as quickly as needed.
