The risk for being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes is higher for people who are older, obese, have family history of the disease and who do not exercise. In Type 2 diabetes the symptoms appear slower than do in Type 1 diabetes. Some of the symptoms are the same, but the symptoms for Type 2 are: urinating often, losing weight unexpectedly, feeling tired and hungry, sores that will not heal blurry eyesight and being thirsty. Both plans have specific guidelines and calorie allowances that will be discussed.
