Trends and forces are necessities that must be analyzed by organization and fostered as a tool to increase revenue. Organizations that respond and react to changes and modify their strategic plan when necessary will remain superior in the industry and competition. In order for a business to thrive in today’s shifting business environment, the administration of that particular organization must have the capability to respond to changes in the trends and forces in the business setting.
Brainstorming and group problem solving will help a business succeed. Teamwork also brings into play diversity, working in teams is being able to communicate and work with others of different backgrounds. Another business trend that is big in the workplace is ethical concerns. Corporate has to establish a sense of urgency letting employees know what the company current weakness is and what the goals that they are trying to achieve are. Corporate will need to put the associates in direct contact with the unhappy customers as well as having the associate effectively trained to assist customers once this new technology is installed. Secondly, Sandwich Blitz has to create a guiding coalition by putting together their managers and supervisors to work as a team with the power to lead the change that the company is about to face. At this point the company will need leaders to motivate the sales associate to adopt the changes with a positive attitude. It will also be a smart practice to assure employees that the changes in technology will not replace the human resources.
This culture creates acceptable and predictable behaviors to better guide associates through their daily job functions. The corporate cultures serve an organization by enabling the organization to be flexible and adapt to the ever-changing competitive landscape (Leban & Romuald, 2008). Home Depot’s leader Robert Nardelli, determined that Home Depot was in need of a culture change. He wanted to change the organizational culture from a laid back, interconnecting organization, to a tough-minded approach to develop power, growth and volume. The Nadler congruence model would be the best option for this type of cultural change.

Employee Motivation Theory Often times companies that struggle with the relationship between the employees and the goals of the organization; sometimes the moral of its employee is thread that sets the relationship apart. Managers have made several failed attempts to establish that relationship with the employee to knit them together with the goals of the organization. Therefore, the company level of accomplishments is diminished. A good manager has learned good people skills, and often times he/she is able to motivate their employees to increase their output. It is important to be able to penetrate any barriers that the employee may have as a defense mechanism.

The company must revert to what is important that is the customers and focus on the core values of the organizations, and the vision of the organization. To change Citigroup’s organizational culture there needs to be a shared responsibility among the leaders of the company, managers, and employees. By having a shared responsibility will make Citigroup’s organizational culture more effective and productive.
