Supply and Demand Simulation Tamara Ray Eco 365 February 25, 2013 John Ilokwu Supply and Demand Simulation This assignment uses the Supply and Demand simulation on the student forum. The simulation is made up of several scenarios that present shifts in the supply and demand curves, including a reason for each shift. Following each scenario is an analysis of how the shift affects equilibrium and business decisions. Microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts and their applicability to the scenarios are also explained. Using the information from the simulation, one can appreciate how important sound business decisions are the key to success.

Factors of concern, such as ecosystem composition and pathogen virulence, are said to be related to climate changes. Climate change will have significant effects on wildlife, domestic animal, and human diseases, according to scientists. There is scientific agreement that the world’s climate is changing and that the evidence demonstrates that global warming and climate changes are happening. It is anticipated that continuing changes to the climate will have serious negative impacts on public, animal and ecosystem health due to extreme weather events, changing disease transmission activities, new and old diseases, and changes to habitat that are important to wildlife conservation. It’s very important to know that the majority of recent emerging diseases have a wildlife origin.
Drought is a multi-causal and complex environmental issue, and can have serious socioeconomic consequences. Recently, IPCC (the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) in Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) concluded that South Asia and the Middle East would experience sever, prolonged droughts as a result of global climate changes, explicitly the increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (IPCC, 2007). Drought is a weather-related natural disaster whose effect is aggravated by human activities. Sometime drought affects large regions and even several countries for a long period of time. Drought has a serious impact on food productivity of a land, and even on the life expectancy of inhabitants.
Climate Change Threatens Marine Life Axia College of UOP: SCI 275 CLIMATE CHANGE THREATENS MARINE LIFE Climate change has become a major issue over the past few years. Global warming has the potential to devastate the human population immensely. However, one key aspect of this issue that has not been addressed is how climate change will affect marine life. As the water temperature rises marine life becomes more endangered. The ocean dwellers are virtually helpless, and they will ultimately have to suffer the consequences that have been created mainly by humans.
‘How do people and society respond to environmental hazards and what factors influence their choice of adjustments?’ (Cutter 1996). Discuss this statement with reference to examples of both natural and technological hazards. Introduction Environmental hazards fall under two headings: Chronic and Catastrophic. Catastrophic hazards are those with a high magnitude and low frequency. They create huge media attention as the rate of change from what would have been considered as ‘normal’ conditions is very high, for example an earthquake can turn an entire city to ruins and kill hundreds of people in just minutes.
