It does not help progress the story at all. And throughout his novel, he tells you dates for when the actions happened. However, he does not reveal the year until the end of the novel. The suspense of it was fine, but the problem was that he left the place out of the story. Taylor only gives cities and never gave away the state.

Sadly, it fails to do so, mostly it is Allan Blooms views on the education process in American Universities/Colleges. If someone was to write a book called The Girl in the Pink Dress and it’s actually about a boy in a blue coveralls it wouldn’t be that good of a story. That’s how I feel about Nelson’s essay, almost like I have been tricked. Nelson’s only paragraph about Canadian education is way more than halfway through his essay. Neilson made a mistake by putting (North) in the title because that would suggest that the essays main topic is the North American education
As Americans, it is hard to think that the constitution was a “rough draft“. When it was written by the founding fathers, it was implied that it wasn’t perfect. As it was used, it was supposed to be revised and made to adapt so it could become a new and strong form of government. However, if a glance is taken back in history, hardly any revisions have been made. There have only been twenty seven amendments to our constitution to up to the present.

The novels plot illustrates a unique society far unlike the one we have today. It holds a totalitarian dictatorship government. There are a couple scenes and ideas in the book that I found related to Karl Marx concepts, and one related to Simmel.
