Camping is a relaxing hobby that I have learned to enjoy. Many people have gone camping at least once in their lives. Some like it, and others do not but it is definitely one of my favorite things to do in my spare time. Any chance that I get, I am out camping at my campground or even in a tent. My parents have a camper that was passed down from my mom’s parents. It is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, located in West Finley. I love it out there though. It is all country, and everyone is friendly. I have met so many people out there. Camping is an outdoor recreational activity. The participants (known as campers) leave urban areas, their home region, or civilization and enjoy nature while spending one or several nights outdoors, usually at a campsite. Camping may involve the use of a tent, caravan, motorhome, cabin, a primitive structure, or no shelter at all. In many parts of the world[where?], camping refers exclusively to the use of tents or similar portable structures[citation needed]. Camping as a recreational activity became popular in the early 20th century. Campers frequent national or state parks, other publicly owned natural areas, and privately owned campgrounds. Camping is a key part of many youth organizations around the world, such asscouting. It is used to teach self-reliance and teamwork. Camping is also used as an inexpensive form of accommodation for people attending large open air events such as sporting meetings andmusic festivals.
