Citizens that pay taxes right now are supporting the people that receive Medicare and Medicaid. Reid shows that other countries has a lot better health system than does the USA and we could learn from them. Reid believes that we can decrease costs and improve access to care if we used a different health care system. Patients are not likely to curb their doctor visits and drug costs if it is free, so total costs of health care will be several times what they are now. People who live in countries that have nationalized health care have to wait on very long waiting lists before they are treated sometimes.
People have to look at the current health care arena before we go on criticizing the health care reform. The health care reform might be a little pricy, but it out wait the current one that we have. In the long run, the health care reform will eliminate $2.5 trillion of federal spending, enough to boost the GDP by 18%. On top of that, everyone would be insured through the health care reform. It is important to insure that each person in the U.S. receive an effective health insurance plan. Unfortunately, it will never be possible to satisfy every individual, but it is possible to fix some of the issues that were taking place in the previous health care reform. Although this reform is very costly, it already seems to be having some effect on many individuals already. As said earlier, the new health care is allowing patients with preexisting health problems receive insurance and they are no longer getting turned down by medical businesses.
