The director made the Air as the strongest element is because people could not leave air to live. The same reason in the story, when people lost their Air bender, their lives would become harsh and miserable. In the other hand, Fire is a dangerous element which may threaten people’s life. Therefore, Fire Nation symbolizes the aggressive people in the society who want to take control others and make themselves in power. Water and Earth would become one part of justice because in reality, they all have abilities to defeat the power of the fire, so that they are most appropriate to be the helpers of the Air Bender.
Alfred just wants everyone to play with the fire truck together. This is just like the situation of when it’s acceptable to beyond legal, moral and ethical boundaries Nick, representing “Never Acceptable” to go beyond the boundaries, Sam representing “Sometimes Acceptable” to go beyond the boundaries, and Alfred representing “Always Acceptable” to go beyond the boundaries. I agree with Nick most, theoretically. A supposed “legal” boundary that could be used as an example is if the government has the right to deny citizens their rights in order to protect the security of the nation. It is not acceptable to go beyond legal, moral, and/or ethical boundaries when the nation is at a risky time of war, but only on certain conditions.
"Smoke Clouds" Look no further than the fathers who go further than they should To the point where we're surrounded by the scars behind their hoods And who is gonna teach them wrong from right? Who's gonna tell them it's alright? Just pass the jazz cigarette And take these brain cells out my head Fill my lungs, drain my heart... 'Cause this smoke cloud's giving me shelter And I feel much better And demons wave the white flag for me Still my bones keep pleading to walk out From all of this fall out But there's no way that I could leave So I don't leave Turn my bitterness to sweet I gotta find a new release, yeah. So I'm trading blues for green Da da da da da... ooh, yeah, yeah Listen See, I'm a simple man I don't
All the explosions from the fireworks make him remember the explosions from the bombs and shells from the War. In the beginning of the poem the author shows us the anticipation of the children and Uncle John before the fireworks are set off. The fireworks would have been set off in size order, the little ones first then they would have set off the bangers. After the little ones were set off, Uncle John wouldn’t be enjoying it so much now because, the big huge bangers were going off and reminding him off his past in World War 2. The first sentence in the poem describes the cardboard boxes as ’cardboard buds’ and the fireworks as buds then they begin to flower.
Predicting the war, chaos, and destruction that would be born from this powder, he did not want the formula to fall into the wrong hands. Cocky and probably still wanting the credit for his achievement, Rodger recorded his formula in a puzzle and hoped to prevent the inevitable. Thus, Bacon added to the field of demolition science, like Nobel and Oppenheimer, but knew the problems that mankind would face because of it, unlike Nobel and Oppenheimer. Alford Nobel had many great achievements. He invented dynamite and the detonator.
The struggle between good and evil is an involuntary inner conflict we must all endure but as you will read, Voltaire and William Golding wrote to a different tune of what we all believe about human morals and intuition. As a result of the suffering endured by Candide he lost his faith and found the true colors of man. But in The Lord of the Flies a different plot to discover the impurities of man was exploited. By virtue of a plane carrying children being shot down by the Nazi military in the war torn decade that was the 1940’s, we encounter how human beings react where there are no consequences for their actions. The setting for this test of human moral and virtues takes place... Kuhn, 2 on a vacant tropical island in the deserted Atlantic Ocean.
“ Truman was to drop the bomb on Hiroshima” How much do you agree with this statement. (look at both sides) I agree with the statement to a certain extent. I agree looking on the basis of a strategic point but not as a humane point. He knew that the Japanese didn’t approve of surrendering and would fight until the last man, just as they did in Iwo Jima. Therefore he could have though that he was saving a lot of lives by not sending in his troops.
One way of doing this is through educating/informing the current and tomorrow's generations. If the unfortunate happenings that characterized the holocaust are not passed to new generations the world runs a great risk of having the same repeated again in future. The young people in this generation need to be made to understand the cause, the course and the aftermath of the holocaust and how and why such an occurrence should be prevented form recurring. From the holocaust the world learnt that it is not difficult to have an entire race wiped out from the world as the rest of the world looks on. By making the new generation to understand clearly the gravity of the holocaust it will be less predisposed to repeating the same in their time.
The new bomb was dropped on Hiroshima with the hopes and success of ending World War II. The reaction of the survivors of the bomb is a paradoxical blend of irrational stoicism and instinctive unity. John Hersey’s book Hiroshima depicts the ability of the Japanese to strengthen the bonds within the community in order help one another survive. Although the inhabitants of Hiroshima instinctively come together with the common goal of survival, their stoic programming causes them to act passive aggressively, which creates an internal battle between human and ideal that thwarts their ability to rationalize the gravity of their individual sufferings, ultimately preventing a real unification. The family values that would normally influence reactions to terrible situations are replaced with the prevalent theme of the coming together and contagious outreach within the Japanese community that was directly affected by the bomb.
On the other hand, he mentions soldiers struggling pain with their families “And the hapless Soldier’s sigh” (line11), and thinking that they can’t do anything about it. The underlying warrant of this poem is that anything can be preventable and controlled. The person that is in charge of the city should do something about the situation instead of causing harm. On one of his examples was that the parents had the choice to bring their child with an infected disease. Everyone has a choice and if people would make wise decisions it would be a better place.
