I will discuss three topics areas that will demonstrate the context for the artifact: JFK as a rhetor, the occasions on which the rhetoric was presented and the audience to whom the rhetoric was addressed. Background John Fitzgerald Kennedy graduated from Harvard University in 1940 and shortly thereafter joined the Navy. While serving in WWII, his PT boat was rammed and sunk by a Japanese destroyer; Kennedy suffered critical injuries, but still managed to get him and other survivors to safety. Kennedy became a Democratic Congressman in the Boston area and then progressed to the 1953 Senate (JFK). John F. Kennedy was elected the youngest and first Roman Catholic President of the United States on November 8, 1960.
In October 1961, Speck met 15-year-old Shirley Annette Malone at the Texas State Fair. She became pregnant after three weeks of dating him. Shirley married Speck on January 19, 1962, and initially moved in with him, his mother, his sister Carolyn, and Carolyn's husband. Speck's mother and stepfather had separated, and his stepfather had moved to California. Speck stopped using the name Richard Franklin Lindberg when he got married and began using the name Richard Franklin Speck.
The Early Years Theodore Robert Cowell was born on November 24, 1946 to Louise Cowell following her stay of three months at the Elizabeth Lund Home for Unwed Mothers in Vermont. Ted's biological father, who was an Air Force veteran, was unknown to his son throughout his life. Shortly after his birth, Ted and his mother moved back to the home of his grandparents in Philadelphia. While growing up, Ted was led to believe that his grandparents were his parents and his natural mother was his older sister. The charade was created in order to protect his biological mother from harsh criticism and prejudice of being an unwed mother.
In the summer of 1962 Obama and his mother moved back to Hawaii where she enrolled in the University of Hawaii. His mom met an Indonesian student who both where attending the same school. In 1967, Obama had to move to Indonesia because of Suharto, a military leader in Soetoro's home country, came to power in 1967, all students studying abroad were recalled and the family moved to Indonesia. During his time there Obama attend school there from ages 6 to 10 where classes where taught in Indonesian language. Obama then once returned back to live with his maternal grandparents in

BIOGRAPHY Matthew Barney was born in 1967 in California, and with 6 years old moved with his family to the state of Idaho. When he was 12 years old, his parents divorced and his mother moved to New York, where he had often visited her, and where he was exposed to contemporary art. He worked as a model after high school, and left Boise to attend Yale University, in Connecticut. Initially he signed up for a premed course wanting to be a plastic surgeon, but after two semesters he switched to art department. Due his dedication and originality, he could study in School of Art while still undergraduate.
Jessica Eric Carle was born June 25 1929, in Syracuse New York. When Carle was just six years old his mother Johanna decided to move the family back to Germany. It was in Germany that he attended and graduated from ABK-Stuttgart. In 1952, with a measly forty dollars to his name, Carle packed up and returned back to New York City (Eric Carle). After his move back to the states he landed a job at the New York Times working as a graphic designer in the promotions department.
She is currently 43 years old and was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on September 21, 1970. 22 years later after birth, in 1993 she became an emigrant to her homeland to immigrate to America. I chose to interview Mrs. Pacheco because with her, I felt the most comfortable interviewing on personal information and I already have a formed rapport with her. Having immigrated in 1993 at the age of 22, Mrs. Marcia Pacheco arrived in Manhattan, New York with her newlywed husband to live with his parents. Moving to a big city such as Manhattan didn’t give Mrs. Pacheco that much of a culture shock due to her previous location where she lived in one of the biggest cities in Ecuador, next to the capitol.
he has two siblings Henry, and Rosalie. When Edgar was two his mother died and before he was born his father departed from the family. After his mother's death he was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. John Allan at the age of two.at the age of six he went to England for five years to study many subject like Latin, French, as well as math and history. Edgar later returns to America to to continue his studies. He attended University of Virginia in 1826 at the age of 17.
Anthropology 101 September 5th, 2012 Anthropologist: Clifford Geertz Clifford Geertz was born on August 23rd in the year of 1926. He grew up in the city of San Francisco, and when he was three years old his parents divorced and was raised by a distant relative in California. Once Geertz turned seventeen he joined the U.S. navy and served from 1943-1945. After World War II, he attended Antioch College where he wanted to major in English and become a writer. Geertz believed that English limited his abilities and instead majored in philosophy.
