The article states that children need to have rules, structure and boundaries and that it is the parent’s job to ensure that the child has them. Even though it seems obvious some parent’s are just not catching on. The article also reports that some parent’s do not require their children to do chores and some are even paying their children’s bills. In a severe case one child did not have to do their assigned homework in belief that it would make the child unhappy. Parenting is a tricky thing.

Single mothers and fathers have a hard time raising one child let alone two or three but yet they keep on having child after child. Society’s views on a few things need to change to be able to get the foster care system under control because if families could take care of the kids they had then there would be no problems. These parents make it known when the child is wrong and sometimes even ignore them. There is a lack in the loving and valuing nature that parents should have. Regardless, on both ends of the spectrum the parent will discipline their child when they misbehave because that is how they continue to learn right from wrong. When deciding how much control and/or supervision the parent places on the child lies under demandingness-control or permissiveness-restrictiveness. Social structures are very easily liable to break down in times of war and crisis. People are not able to function and do what supposedly needs to be done. Not being familiar to a certain setting or situation can cause everybody to lose sight and possibly produce into the panic stage. Adults play a major role throughout a child’s life.
