Kimberly Tinoco Professor Staley English 103 14 December 2009 Cats, Claws, and Controversy It was about 10 years ago when our family cat, Sebastian, went missing. He was a beautiful, long haired, black and white male cat that had a dominate alpha male personality. He was an indoor cat and loved to look out windows and sometimes tried to sneak out to the front yard. One afternoon he was successful and went missing for days. My family and I grew weary as each day passed, hoping for the best but fearing the worst.
He slept on the couch that night, because he didn’t want to wake my mother with his cold sweats, and shivering all night from the side effects of coming off that drug. Later that night, about 2:30am we ate a sandwich together talking, after I ate I went to sleep for the night. Two hours later my mother came to my room crying I had asked her what was wrong and she stated “Louie is dead he hung himself in the garage.” I instantly started to cry and ran upstairs to find my step father hanging in the garage. That challenge had affected me
When the fleas bit the rats they would then go to a human and bite them giving them the horrible disease they so fretfully waited for. They would never know that the fleas were biting them, let alone carrying the terrible Black Death. After five years, twenty five million people were dead. The disease was killing most of the people that lived in England. The first signs of the Black Death were swelling of the lymph nodes, mostly in the armpit, legs, neck, and groin.
Simply put, it means taking your pet to the vet for a quick, fairly inexpensive surgery that will prevent your pet from ever becoming a parent. This surgery solves problems that pet owners know about, and some that they might not have considered before. I believe that all responsible pet owners should be required to have their pets spayed or neutered. Everybody loves a cute new puppy or kitten. But those cute babies soon get bigger and there simply are not enough homes for all of them.
Ethan's fate is awaken when he is trapped in this lie of the lumber. Because Ethan stayed home with Mattie to eat dinner, the incident of the pickle dish occurred. Mattie is responsible for breaking the pickle dish as well as the reason of Ethan and Zeena's failed marriage. In full reality, it was the cat that actually tipped the pickle dish over and broke it. Since in the novel, the cat represented Zeena in many instances, such as the rocking chair,
Somehow Keller managed to flee to Darwin, leaving the world to think that he had not survived the terrors of the holocaust “A friend saw him fall, he died…” During his time in Darwin, Keller also survived cyclone Tracy, “by sheltering beneath the supine…”- the piano which also costed him his family. Keller resembled a cat; he was born with nine lives. Paul endured a string of tough times when he first moved to Darwin. He was bullied and didn’t warm to Keller until later on in the novel. The music room became his place for refuge after he found himself being a victim of bullying.
One account mentioned a dead human arm, which stuck out of the trench wall, and all the soldiers shook the hand as they walked by. Another disillusionment factor was that the soldiers had to share their living space with rats and lice. Rats were said to get as big as cats and lice were ludicrously out of hand. Most likely the worst part of the trenches was the occasional assault of various toxic gases. These gases tortured its victims for anywhere from 48 hours to a full 5 weeks before killing them.
Soldiers fought and soldiers died, some lived through World War One, others lived but were disabled for the rest of their lives. Life in the trenches was often said to be hell on earth, and no one could argue, a WWI survivor R.L Venables said “Whilst asleep during the night, we were frequently awakened by rats running over us. When this happened too often for my liking, I would lie on my back and wait for a rat to linger on my legs; then violently heave my legs upwards, throwing the rat into the air. Occasionally, I would hear a grunt when the rat landed on a fellow victim.” (R L Venables). Life for a soldier in the military was horrible because of all the things they had to see, and go through.
Charles Garza Leslie Ormandy Eng. 126:15 8/1/11 The Lonely Vampire Baylor the vampire was lonely ,and he had been so for a long time now. You see, his cat had died. Baylor had seen it coming, the cat hadn’t the same old step lately. No more chasing string like she used to; no more mice next to Baylor’s coffin.
So the next morning I told my family but they think I am crazy and play to many video games. I tried to warn them about the creature but they just won’t believe me. So at night the creature knew where I ran the night before because I stepped in the ladies blood and left tracks. So at midnight he came busting through my house. First thing I do is wake up my family and tell them what’s happening they still don’t believe me until they hear the creature.
