This is another point towards poor leadership because there was no clear plan in how they were going to get their terms accepted only what terms they wanted. Another reason the rebellion failed was due to the lack of passion in the rebels. Not everyone knew what they were rebelling for which meant that they wouldn’t fight passionately for what they believed in. There was also a lack of focus because not everyone was fighting for the same cause. Some people were fighting because of the monasteries being dissolved and others were fighting because of rack-renting.
Also, hundreds and thousands of soldiers were injured. John F. Kennedy believed in a democracy; on the contrary, Ho Chi Minh wanted a communist government. Both wanted what they thought was the best for their country and their beliefs. It was Kennedy’s decision from the beginning to send troops to Vietnam to help the South Vietnamese out. Ho Chi Minh was a nationalist leader for the communist North Vietnam.
The government could not control all these invasions, so this was another component that helped the fall of the Roman Empire. Document 5 shows bias because it blames the fall of the civilization on internal decay. This is significant because if a very well organized government that had been able to keep order throughout such a large empire could no longer do it, then this meant nobody else could. All of these political
The immigrants that came to America usually sided with the Democratic-Republican Party. Because of this, part of the Alien and Sedition Acts was the Naturalization Act. This increased the number of years required for immigrants to qualify for U.S citizens from 5 years to 14 years. The federalists adopted these laws because they wanted to stay in power, and since they were aware of the fact that many of the immigrants would vote for their opposing party, this act ensured that they couldn’t vote. You like Ike. Everybody likes Ike.”: Eisenhower’s greatest asset was his – enjoyment of the affection & respect of the American people The record would seem to indicate that Pres Eisenhower’s strongest commitment during his presidency was to – social harmony (not social justice or racial desegregation – until challenged by AR in 1957) On subject of racial prejudice, Pres Eisenhower – had advised against integrating armed forces [* Ike was weak on civil rights, except Little Rock, etc…, he did not push for civil rights or help as Truman had before him – only rose to challenge presented by Gov Faubus in Little Rock in 1957 really – sent 101st Airborne] {* Little Rock, Arkansas – Central High School – Little Rock 9 – Elizabeth Eckford, others, several days – national Guard, 101st Airborne – reactions – How Arkansas (& other states & communities in South & mid-West) avoided
This was however due to the war being the top of his priorities. He also needed to tread carefully, after all he wasn't voted into office, Roosevelt was. Following the end of the Second World War, Truman attempted to continue the funding of the FEPC (fair employment practice committee), but this was rejected by congress. This committee was founded to help give blacks equal employment opportunities; however it didn't do much to help. Two thirds of all complaints submitted to the FEPC were dismissed.
Unity or independence was very important to the colonists before the Revolutionary War because they didn’t have the rights we do today. Colonists couldn’t trade with the world, weren’t protected of their rights, imposed taxes, and a lot more. The king of the colonies had treated them with a lot of disrespect. He had not given them any freedom whatsoever, and had just made them follow his unjust rules and law. Although they knew the consequences or punishments for doing so, the colonists had found ways to smuggle.
Throughout the activity, no one in authority seems to know where the transportation is or when the transportation will arrive to take the population to the shelter. Throughout the learning activity, there were other problems which held up the evacuation. For example, some of the population are afraid of the police. One reason was some of the population came from countries in which the police did more harm than help. Another reason was they did not have proper identification and were in this country illegally.
From 1954 to 1960 the U.S. sent a few number of troops into Vietnam to help resist the Communist, but little was made of it. In 1960 John F. Kennedy became president in the U.S. and things began to turn for the nations involvement in Vietnam. Originally President Kennedy did not want to get involved with the conflict in Vietnam. Prior to his election President Kennedy said, “Should I become President, I will not risk American lives by permitting any other nation to drag us into the wrong war at the wrong place at the wrong time through an unwise commitment that is unwise militarily” (Duiker 55). At the time, the United States was in the midst of its own conflict with Russia, which was called the Cold War.
During the time the constitution was being written, the Founding Father used it as a way to protect our government so no foreign prince could buy his way into the presidency. But now the current stability of the American government and the intense media scrutiny of presidential candidates virtually eliminate that factor. Over 200 years have passed since the original drafting of the natural born citizen clause. During which technological innovations have made it possible for people to become more open about foreign policy or the vast diversity there is in the United
