The Ashley Treatment In 1997 the United States made a name for a little girl born with a rare condition of the brain. Ashley, was born with severe developmental disabilities due to static encephalopathy of unknown etiology; she is and will remain at an infant level mentally and physically. years later the parents of this little girl decided that they would allow for her name to be the face of a treatment many more infants like ashley would hope to receive. With the young child being female there are circumstances that would be much different if the child was male. varying on state to state this type of ethical dilemma is putting my own occupation at risk.
