As the story unwinds and Smith attempts to buckle down and introduce his own bill with help from Saunders, he uncovers a corrupted link in the government of the country he loved so dearly as he finds his own associate, Joseph Paine had introduced a bill to turn Willet Creek into a dam, which would result in the profit of the man who owns that land, Jim Taylor, and all else involved. In an attempt to speak out and keep this bill from passing, Senator Paine rises and accuses Smith of using his own bill for his own profit. At this accusation, evidence was forged and used in attempt to incriminate Smith, and was believed by a majority and when Smith was asked his defense, he stormed out of the room in disgust. He is later found by Ms. Saunders, who convinced him to run a filibuster on the Willet Creek Bill and prove his innocence.
For all intents and purposes I think that this guy is in the right. Thinking back to when I took shop classes I did nothing but screw around. After years of seeing kids disgrace the thing you’re trying to pass on, the very thing you love, it would drive the best of us

He ended up getting attacked by an angry mob within one minute of starting his speech. Very interesting ideas about free speech they have down there. They are actually protesting for more government interference in their lives. They want government to seize assets of the rich. In stark contrast to the words of these scoundrels, the actions of Todd Beamer and his comrades on Flight 93 live on in our nation's commitment to defeat this jihadist scourge. Just this week, the administration released its revised National Strategy for Combating Terrorism, a document that details how our actions adapt as the war
He made sure to put on a façade which would lead the King’s men to believe he was still a respectful and loyal man. He even went as far as killing another man to show his respect for the king and his (fake) anger about the king’s murder. Macbeth made quite a transition between the first two scenes of the play.
