Having a tough childhood and being fired from Apple didn’t stop Steve Jobs from being successful. In fact, he revolutionized multiple industries in his life. Today, Steve Jobs has a huge variety of electronics on the market.
June 19, 1903 was the day Henry Louis Gehrig was born in East Harlem, New York. In 1933, he married Eleanor Twitchell Right after his high school years he played in Hartford to help earn money for his family. He went to Columbia University before playing for the Yankees in 1925. While being on a football scholarship, Gehrig was majoring in engineering. He played both baseball and football starting his sophomore year because during his freshman year he got caught accepting money for playing on a professional team.
Joe Montana: Simply the Best Joe Montana, the comeback kid. Many believe he is the best to play the game, other will argue differently, but there is no argument in saying he is ONE of the best QB's to play the game. Joe Montana was the quarterback who made the 49ers. He ran the Bill Walsh offense to near perfection. I have made this page in honor of the greatest (in my opinion) QB of all time, who lead his team to 4 Super Bowl Championships and boasts 3 Super Bowl MVP's.
She started playing with the boys and ended playing with the boys when she was fifteen years old. Throughout her entire career as a hockey player she has played on eight different teams. Being from Sweden has given her many opportunities in her athletics. When she was sixteen years old she was invited to a summer camp for Team Sweden for ice hockey. The camp only invites the top thirty elite athletes from Sweden to attend the camp.
Shaun White. That name personifies the snowboarding world. At the age of five he was described as a snowboarding prodigy. Already winning amateur championships and semi pro championships. Shaun White is in a class of his own sweeping the winter X-Games and Olympics for years on end in first place.
The thing that comes to mind right away is that he achieved championship status on all levels available in a mere three years. From Everett High School State Champions 1977, to Michigan State Spartans NCAA Champions 1979 and then Los Angeles Lakers NBA Champions in 1980. To experience that path in life in incredible in of itself, had the rules been different at the time he would have surely been an Olympic Medalist then. His desire to provide for his loved ones was a factor in his deciding to leave college early. A trend that would increase over the years, until some even chose to bypass college altogether.
The Ever Changing Game – Has it Improved? In 2005 at the age of 18, Sidney Crosby broke into the NHL with an outstanding rookie season finishing 6th in league scoring recording 102 points. One year later he finished 1st in league scoring with 120 points. He was the first and only teenager to win a scoring race in any professional North American sports league. (Zarum) Players like Crosby are few and far between, but in the past, teams were looking for more than just talent, they wanted players who were willing to get black and blue in order to win.
For my research paper I chose to focus on Lil Wayne. I admire him because he is hard working and he has gone through a lot to achieve his American dream and he never gave up on it. Lil Wayne's American dream was to have a better life for himself and move his family out of the ghetto. He had been trying to do that since he was young and then he finally got discovered at the age of 13 by Birdman who was a well-known local producer. He took Lil Wayne to the top and even though he had to drop out of high school it was wroth it because he is now worth over 24 Million dollars.
Running cross-country, as a junior in high school is different from running it in middle school. I was one of the best runners while I was in seventh and eight grade. This changed at my first practice with the high school team. Coach Sorrells talked about the course since the first practice in may, this is the state-meet course, and that it is important to do well. Everyone was concentrating on Carrolton.
Cross Country Not many people know what a 5k or cross country is. To sum it up it’s a 3.2 mile run threw just about every terrain imaginable. It’s a race of endurance and mental strength, and anyone who is competitive would love cross country just as much as I do. I started cross country in the 7th grade and placed in varsity all the way threw 12th grade and it wasn’t a easy ride, I couldn’t even count how many 5k’s I ran but my very first 5k will always be in my mind till the day I die. As a middle school runner I mainly ran 3ks which was ran on the same course as high school but was only 1.8 miles.
