In Humbolt County, California in 1958, a large footprint was found at a construction site by Jerry Crew, a bulldozer operator. In the first story about the incident, "the tracks of old Big Foot" were mentioned in the first sentence. This is the first example of the term Bigfoot used in print. The early writers of the Bigfoot were unaware of the stories of the Sasquatch which had been popular in Canada since the 1920's. However, as more research was done the stories of the Sasquatch were found, and it was determined that the Sasquatch and Bigfoot were in fact the same creature.
The bfro.com website consisted of photos, videos, newspaper articles, and blogs etc…This website explained the history and the stories of what people over 400 years have thought Bigfoot was and the sightings of Bigfoot. There are hundreds of mapped out sightings of Bigfoot across the nation on the websites page. From the stories explained on the site, they reported seeing 15 to 16 inch mud footprints. In an article, a couple of hunters observed, “something big and brown in a ditch on the side of the road crouching down then it stood up and walked back and forth across the road then crouching back down we knew for a fact it wasn’t human it was nine feet tall. This took place in Peirsien, Florida” (BFRO 4).
The lake is about 20 miles long and 8 miles wide. Lake levels and size vary because of heavy agricultural use, and in years of drought. The border of Utah and Idaho goes right across the center of the lake. The lake is 250,000 years old and is formed by Fault Subsidence, which continues today making the lake deeper on the East side. Masses of floating ice prevented ships from closely approaching the glacier for at least a decade, and the steamship companies removed Glacier Bay from their itineraries.” Over the next few decades, Uhler states; Glacier Bay belonged to a hardy assortment of scientists and adventurous entrepreneurs, as well as native seal hunters, fishermen and egg-gatherers. A number of colorful characters, including the gold miners Joe and Muz Ibach of Reid Inlet and the hermits Jim Huscroft of Lituya Bay and Buck Harbeson of Dundas Bay, enlivened the local landscape. In addition to rugged individualists who pursued mining, trapping, homesteading, fox-farming and other small-scale ventures, continues Uhler, “there was at least one successful corporate operation within what is now Glacier Bay National Park, a salmon cannery at Dundas Bay.
His findings included a fractured skull and thighbone that were hacked in half, along with a few axes, spears, clubs and shields, which he says “indicate that the 2,000-year-old site was the scene of a major battle.” These findings date to the birth of Jesus, and may have involved some religious sacrifices. “There’s a religious dimension,” said Dr. Holst, due to his findings of goat skulls and ceramic pots, suggesting that a food offering might have occurred. Dr. Holst and his team’s findings of some destructed bones that ended up in the lake, either during or after this epic battle that took place, bring up some serious questions; like how exactly did this battle start, what was it about, and who were these warriors that they discovered? What they do know is that all these warriors found were of male gender and ranged from teenagers to men in their 50’s. Over the years they have uncovered about 240 bodies, plus numerous weapons and artifacts.

The ones that did know of us, had strong opinions on “Indians.” A few months ago I had gone to Oregon for a powwow. I had stopped at a gas station for snacks, drinks, and of course gas. The clerk had bluntly asked me, “Are you Eskimo? No offense to you if you’re not. Your cheek bones are prominent, like an Eskimo.” I
In my experience when I lived in Arizona for 7 months comparing where I live now in Florida “The Sunshine State” both states are completely different when we start talking about their weather, scenery, cost of living or culture. Because both states have a lot of resources but they still different in the topics I just mentioned. Talking about the scenery in Arizona they have a very dry and red scenery with a lot of red rocks mountains where you can do hiking, find a lot of different animals like scorpions, rattle snakes, coral snakes, mountain lions, and wolves all these animals are natural from the Arizona environment. In Arizona you need to drive up to 6 or 8 hours just to find a beach in California. In Florida we have a green scenery flat no mountains but is completely different than Arizona, here you can find a beach
This problem has become more public in the last two years and has drawn a lot of attention, which has resulted in international documentaries trying to raise awareness and support for these majestic creatures. Carte Blanche has featured many documentaries showing the brutal killings of the rhinos, trying to make us more aware of the threat to their existence. The topic of rhino poaching in South Africa is such a sad topic but has increased drastically. Rhino poaching happens all over the world, but recently Southern Africa has suffered dramatically and it has become a greater concern. It needs to be addressed as soon as possible before our rhino becomes extinct, which will be a very sad day for the world.
