Anabolic Steroids In today’s society, athletes are seen as heroes. Athletes are always striving to be the best. Some are willing to do whatever it takes, even if it means compromising their health. For many years, athletes have been taking anabolic steroids to facilitate their training programs, even though the consequences can be hazardous. I believe that no athlete should risk his or her health by taking anabolic steroids just to be a better athlete. Anabolic steroids have benefits, but the benefits are outweighed by the side effects. Researchers report that steroid abuse can instigate wild mood swings leading to violent, even homicidal acts. When the drugs are stopped, depression may transpire and may contribute to dependence on steroids.
