I chose to be a Medial Assistant for many different reasons. The first reason that comes to my head is that I love to help people. The profession also got my interest because I am a nosey person; I like to know what happens to people. I personally love to help people. No matter the situation, if I help someone, I somehow made their life just a little bit easier.
I really enjoyed getting to know 2 of my team members whom I worked very closely with on this project and will keep in touch with after this class is long over. As for what could have gone better, I feel we had some serious disruptions that caused our group to form in a reactive manner… versus naturally; I would have liked to experience a more solid group experience. 2. If working in a group: What did you learn from working in a project group? Aside from the class content I learned that I don’t wait for things to happen I went into this telling my group that under no circumstance could I lead this project but I found myself incapable of waiting for things to evolve on their own, I have more of a leader personality than I thought.
Voting for me would allow them to have a better secretary for the rest of the year and possibly a better representative next year. By voting for me to go to CASL, my classmates would benefit because we would have a better & experienced leader in their class. I have shown major commitment and dedication to both leadership and my class. Every single day (even Mondays), I am early and ready to learn how to become a better leader. I have also been at almost every single workday the freshman class has had for all required events.
Team work is what this is all about, we are all going to have to learn the new system and get readjusted to doing something new, but I am hoping that this will make the employees more enthused and eager to do their work and learn new things at the same time. I will makes sure that every employee get the proper training with the new system so everyone will be comfortable and knowledgeable to help lessen the stress as well with the change. A lot of times employees resist change because they are so set in their ways the thought of having to learn something new may seem more of a headache then a helpful tool, some are just afraid of change and other employees just feel that they were hired to do a job so no matter the change they will comply and do whatever it takes to become a better employee.. Because changes are linked to all areas of resources human resources I will make sure that they aide in the change within the company by (http://humanresources.about.com) “ accessing information about group facilitation, culture
I have found reflecting on this I have seen days when I do not perform to my potential and days where I’m happy to see skills I have developed progressing my practice. I know this theory fits my practice no matter what stage I’m in and can help us when we are a student, new in a department, or a seasoned advanced
They provide treatment and support to client and their families to recover from addiction or to modify their disorder. So they can have a more pleasant satisfactory way of life. To be honest after graduation I can see myself doing any type of counseling I personally want to help people become a better them. The ideal counseling for me would be family therapy. Because I believe that even though you help a member of the family the rest of the family are still in a mindset that can eventually be damaging to the person.
At the first visit the client can always be refer to a different clinic if the clinician doesn’t take the specific case but this is a people helper profession. As we get to know that profession better we might not want to see all cases either for personal or preferences but not offering the help is not acceptable. It doesn’t matter if they gay, straight, rich, poor, disable, rapist, pedophile either or as a client I would have been very unhappy to be turn down without any referral to my needs. “The tools for conducting an effective assessment are numerous. The first session is often spent conducting an intake interview, which includes collecting basic demographic information about the client (age, marital status, number of children, ethnicity, etc.
I think the humanistic-encouraging trait is important because like any other leader, people must trust you, set goals that are attainable, learn how to resolve issues in a constructive manner, and encourage your followers. I enjoy listening to people’s problems and helping them think positive and find the healthiest or best solution. I am normally the person my friends come to when they need to talk to someone. I believe as a manager a person must have a sense of how a person is and deal with each person individually if needed so each person as an understanding of what is the mission is. Controlling as a manager is something I believe I will have to work on.
Valuing colleagues expertise is essential because everyone has different experiences so there is always something new you can learn from other people in life. Open communication gains trust, respect and also makes for a better learning environment. Communication also helps, if you start to ‘gossip’ others may not be open to this, but also because some ‘gossip’ get lost in translation. If you respect others then they will then respect you, making the environment you work in a nicer place to be. You won’t go too far wrong in life if you always treat others the way you expect to be
The career path of neo-natal nursing requires a lot of work in nursing school and finding a good work environment, but the benefits of the job are outstanding. I have chosen this career path because I like to help people. Another reason I chose this career is because I enjoy being around babies and I think they are such a miracle. I will enjoy the rewarding feeling of being able to help as a new life begins. I realize this career may be stressful and even sad at times.
