This clearly shows that he knows what the society thinks of him and he just have to coup with it. I say this because he really thinks that all of a sudden he is a snake charmer. He thinks that he can control the snake that he has caught.
Short story: Signs and Symbols Author: Vladimir Nabokov The short story ‘Signs and Symbols’ is a tragic story of an elderly Russian couple having a deranged son in a sanatorium. The entire story revolves around the theme of tragedy. Despite the simple story plot, much of the little family’s background is revealed to the reader. The story begins with the couple, “they”, thinking of what they should get for their son on his birthday. This is apparently a problem to them, for the boy had no desires, given his incurable mental illness, “Mad-made objects…could be found in his abstract world.” The couple finally picked a basket with jellies for their son.
Reza thought that he did something wrong and that’s why they sending him to an orphanage, and then he remained himself of his bed habits like nibbling bread on way home, drinking Kobra’s milk, messing around with mother’s yarn. He knows that father was always unhappy with him despite fact that Reza try to help us much as he can in the store: sweeping, watering flowers. Huck did end up reading and continued school for a while, even if he only continued school just to spite his father. Huck hated and feared his father, seeing how Pap was unpredictable and was the town drunk. Lily’s father in the Secret Life of Bees also struck fear in his child. You could tell Lily was afraid of her father, seeing how she hesitated to tell him about events such as her birthday.
