I was the only child, so it was fairly quiet around the house. I would come home and sit on the couch and do my homework as my mom occasionally came around to see how I was doing. Whenever I slacked off, she made sure that I got back on the right track and got each part of my work done for school in the morning. Sometimes I would wait until the last minute to do projects for classes. I mainly pushed them off because elementary teachers always wanted some kind of colorful and creative diorama or drawing.
Since its invention over fifty years ago, television has been criticized by many as being bad for children’s brains. As television has advanced throughout the years, so have the fast paced, mindless shows designed for young children. In the article “Is SpongeBob SquarePants Bad for Children?” Roni Rabin discusses a research study that sought to prove that watching SpongeBob SquarePants has a negative effect on a child’s executive functioning system. The results of this small experimental study found that children who watched nine minutes of a fast paced cartoon had decreased their executive functioning compared to children who participated in nine minutes of drawing or watching educational programs. Connecting fast paced television viewing to losses in cognitive ability has profound significance for children’s social and learning development.
And so in short, they worked hard for it and put effort into it. My short term goals academically are pretty much the same as everyone else. I wish to get mastery and above in all of my classes every marking period. The same goes for test and quiz grades. My short terms goals professionally however, are a different story.
This was a very pleasant and unforgettable experience for me and my fellow classmates. Monday through Thursday we were at our respectable classes and on Fridays we came back to our class and discussed how our week went. I learned that I love making children happy and it was right for me. I learned how to plan assignments that were fun and educational; this was because I worked with special needs children and the physical education class. I believe this would help me because it helped me open up and not be afraid to make sure the rules were followed, class ran smoothly, and everyone was safe.

It has been researched that the noise that comes from the television keeps kids up at night! The noise isn’t the only problem… the light is too! All the flashing and bright colors distract kids and make them stay up later then they should be. Computers, cellphones, and video games are also very distracting kids stay up all night on social websites on their phone or laptop and talk to friends or post pictures….then they wait, wait for other kids to comment or like it and that keeps them up all night long!
I had lot of support making sure that I was not facing the difficulties or challenges alone. I had the chance of meeting the most wonderful young lady in my school, she have been the most supportive woman I could have ever meet in high school. She was there with me every single step of high school and getting all my school information organized the way they are supposed to be. With Ms. Francis help I learned a lot of skills that I never know I could have mastered in school at all. I am a person who love being in school that’s where my family lies, school have a lot of different people but the god ones are hard to fine.
I hope that I do not let my team members down and that I have upheld my end of the bargain for completing our learning team assignment for this week. My thoughts about team C is that we are a good team and we have all worked well together as a team. Everyone has came together and ensured that our team assignments are complete, accurate, and turned in on time. I could not have asked for a better
The welding instructor helped me thru my struggles. I went home and practiced as much as I could to help me out even more. After awhile I got the hang of it. I’ve had this class for three years now and I’ve loved every minute of it. I have three certifications in that class and those will help me find a good paying job because that’s what employer’s look for and it sets me apart from other applicants.
My name is Raina Fernandez and my reflection of this class was very meaningful. I have learned some very important things in this class. I learned three useful things in particular in this class that I believe will stick with me and be used in my future. I really enjoyed doing/learning about the resume and cover letter portion of this class. I collaborated with a friend who works on resumes and he showed me various ways to set mine up that I had never considered before.
