“How I Learned about the Power of Writing” by Richard Bullock “How I Learned about the Power of Writing” tells us about the story of Richard Bullock on how he learned how to read as a child. He starts off by telling us about his grandparents moving in with his family when he was little in their house at Willoughby, Ohio. He tells us about his grandmother reading to him classic stories, teaching him how to plant African Violets and teaching him on how to read the time—and because of that, he was motivated to read more only by the age of three. He recalls to us that when he was young, he used to fetch the early paper and read about the case of Dr. Sam Sheppard. Because Bullock's grandmother only received formal education until eighth grade, and his mother a high school graduate, and his father being a high school dropout, he was taught by his grandmother to love learning.
Shortly after that, Franklin married his childhood sweetheart, Deborah Reed. In the autobiography, called The Autobiography and Short Writings, Ben Franklin mentioned that he and his wife became well-known in their community by owning and operating a print shop, general store, and book store (55). An enterprising man, Franklin bought the Pennsylvania Gazette after having much success in the colonies with his other family-owned businesses. Franklin was in charge of printing the paper and also writing articles (The Electric Ben Franklin 5). Once again, Franklin used different names other than his own when submitting the articles.

Luke Bubb For my studio arts assignment, on comparing varied artists from different periods and from different styles I had to choose two different people to write about. Also the fact that my family background has a lot of interesting history to it. My father is Huingarian and moved from Hungary to England when he was a child with his parents and two brothers. When he was around five his parents took him and his brothers to Cameroon in Africa as his father was a doctor over there. My father is really well educated he went to university at the age of 17 to study chemical engineering at Imperial College London, he has since been working successfully ever since all over the world. HE loves to travel and is interested in other cultures and can speak many different languages, this has really worn off on me.
Calatrava's family had suffered during the political upheavals of the 1930s in Spain, and they saw an international future as their son's best chance. Therefore, when he was thirteen, his family took advantage of the recent opening of the borders and sent him to Paris as an exchange student. He later travelled and studied in Switzerland. Calatrava was initially interested in becoming an artist so he made plans to attend art school in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts (School of Fine Arts), but he arrived in mid-1968, with the student protests of that year at their height, and found that his classes had been cancelled. As a result, he returned to Valencia and enrolled in the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura, a relatively new institution, where he earned a degree in architecture and took a post-graduate course in urbanism.
