His mix of power and speed to getting to the basket is undeniably the best in basketball. He has the unbelievable skill of using his size, body lean, and speed to enter the lane on fast-breaks and when isolated on a defender. No defender can stop or slow him down if they play one on one. However, Lebron does not have the completely fine tuned jump shot to be the complete scorer. This year Lebron did improve on this shot (from 31.5% to 34.4% from 3 point range), but many of his shots were when he was open.
When testing his accuracy they made him use an anchor’s bull eyes which is known to be very difficult to hit even in Olympics levels. When testing his accuracy they also used sensors that allows you to find out his release velocity, launch angle, and spin rate. The results for Drew was a perfect 10 out of 10 which is incredible this why he is consider one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now. His results showed that four of his darts he throw hit the center of the bull eyes. It is accurate to say that when Drew throws a pass it is always thrown with consistency with a velocity of 52 miles per hour with a identical six degree launch angle that allows his release to spin at approximately 600 rpm which creates a gyroscopic torque in which gravity tries to pull the spin of the nose downward but the aerodynamic forces of the wind that floats over the ball counter balances each other to keep the ball on target where wobble occurs as the ball spins slightly of the axis the small circle of the nose traces in the air which is what makes his throws accurate.
In that era the game was played at a relatively slower pace, play calling was more important, defensive orientated, and scoring was more technique. In today’s basketball era the game is much more fast paced, a lot more athletic ability, a lot more highflying dunks, and just an overall faster game pace with many more fast breaks with 3 pointers and alley-hoops going up. Michael Jordan was more of a spot and shoot kind of player although he had a lot of athletic ability and could easily take the ball to the rim for a highflying dunk he was primarily an eagle eye of a shooter. What Michael Jordan did best was make plays and create something out of nothing. He was a play maker and that was his best trait when it came to his ability to play basketball.
Not to say Shaq wasn’t a good defensive player. Although he has never been a good on-the-ball defender, he was a good shot blocker. It was still not enough to earn him the honor. Dwight Howard is one of the best defensive big men of all time. He has the accolades to prove
Neil Leifer and the Impact of Sports Photography It is known throughout photography, that it is tough to capture pictures in motion, Neil Leifer proved to be a master of this through his photography, and is arguably the best sports photographer of all time. Leifer used his photographs to display a couple of reoccurring themes over his years in sports photography. First, Leifer used his photography to display the strong bonds and friendships that are made on the field during sports. Leifer does a great job of expressing the closest relationships that are born from people helping each other. In contrast to that, it is also common to see people fighting people, in more of a dog-eat-dog depiction of the world’s citizens.
However during his stay at the Marines, he gained a few skills, for e.g. he learnt how to shoot accurately from long distances. This moves me onto m first point, Source 8 – ‘On one scorecard he hit a head-and-shoulder sized target 49 out of 50 times from a distance of 200 yards, without a telescopic sight. He shot Kennedy from less than 100 yards with a rifle that had a telescopic sight.’ For Oswald to shoot so accurately at a distance is astonishing, Oswald must of had a really steady hand and good concentration. With his shooting without a telescopic sight is an amazing skill.
On a professional field they are much narrower than those on a college field. This means that the professionals tend to start each play pretty much in the middle of the field, and the hash marks don’t come into consideration much in terms of play calling. However, in college the wide hash marks have a few notable implications. One is that sweeps to the short side of the field run out of space really quickly, so the coaches will often run to the wide side. Of course, if defenses expect that, then suddenly a run to the short side is a sneaky play.
The defenders are usually not as popular as the forwards because they are not the ones who are scoring the goals and making big plays. There have been many games where the forwards have been unsuccessful in scoring any goals for their teams. The reason for this is the defense. When the defenders play their role properly in a game they can ultimately be the reason for the teams win. It is the defenders who do the job of winning the ball for their team and sending the ball across the field to their forward.
The book Ender’s Shadow is written about him. He is just as smart as Ender and also just as small, which makes a lot of people to compare Bean to Ender. That infuriates Bean so he strives to be better than Ender. In his own book it describes how he has much more control over Ender’s destiny then it was originally elaborated in the first book. At the beginning of Ender’s Game Ender has a monitor strapped to his neck to monitor everything he sees and does.
THEMES The Power of Cunning over Strength: 1. Odysseus does have extraordinary strength, as he demonstrates in Book 21 by being the only man who can string the bow. But he relies much more on mind than muscle, a tendency that his encounters showcase. He knows that he cannot overpower Polyphemus, for example, and that, even if he were able to do so, he wouldn’t be able to budge the boulder from the door. He thus schemes around his disadvantage in strength by exploiting Po1yphemus’s stupidity.
