Unfortunately we did not have a good dynamic with at least 1 team member which cause a quite a bit of delay and frustration, but we were able to side step this for the most part and push on with the objectives. Things got really bad one particular week and I am glad it’s over I will have to really do some thinking about how to deal with this if it happens in the real world. 3. What did you learn in completing this project about yourself and how you work in a team environment? I work better with people who are of similar thinking, I think that I lead better than follow, and I know that I prefer to work on things alone.
is sore and almost unusable at first. But you stretch it and use it a little more everyday until it becomes the same as it used to be. This is the rewiring on our brains. We “broke” (not implying that the use of internet breaks our brains, just a word to fit the analogy) our minds away from the way we originally thought (the offline way of thinking) and started using different
Randy explained how in life, one is always faced with choices. The outcome of your life is completely up to you and which route you would like to take. Listening to a presentation in which you can relate to makes watching it so much easier. People of all ages could listen to his presentation and take something away from it. Reading off of a projector is completely draining to watch and one would lose interest pretty quick.
The outward attitude of “I am too busy, too important and too jaded to care.” comes across quite frequently in my interactions with people. A good example of this type of attitude shows clearly, I think, when a teacher says to their half asleep students “This will be on the test.” the students that were half asleep are now wide awake and writing. The students here are obviously not interested in learning but only in regurgitating what has been
I do not have any misconceptions about writing I'm just very out of practice and I'm sure with time it will become a lot easier and feel more natural. I need to focus on staying on topic, grammar and punctuation. I tend to go off topic once I get another idea something similar but not part of the idea I was going for in my paper. In order to improve this weakness is by keeping my ideas organize will help me stay on topic After reading chapter one it gave me a new motivation to learn about writing. I have always just gave myself the excuse that I am not a good writer and that’s how I am going to live.
His Samana way of life is practically forgotten as he instead immerses himself in fine food, fine clothing, and greed. In my life, I’ve learned that my own personal opinion of myself is far more important than any other person’s opinion of myself. Nobody else can change who I am, so why would I let their opinion matter more than mine? Every day, strive to be the person YOU want to be. CHAPTER EIGHT In chapter eight, Siddhartha learns that the skills that used to be useful to him – meditating, fasting, and losing his sense of self—have been long lost due to his infatuation with worldly goods and desires.
Mrs. Talley-Dale English Comp I May 8, 2012 English Comp I Questions 1.) I took English Comp I class at 8 A.M in the morning. The reason why I took it was because I am more alert in the morning than any other time of the day and I wanted to get my classes over with early. I think it is nice to get classes over and done with in the morning so the afternoon is free. I was able to spend the rest of the day doing homework, hanging out with friends, etc.
My schedule doesn’t allow for a lot of give, so everything I do is with purpose and on time. I forget that not everyone has the same regimen and need to be so time conscience. I am also not good at adapting to change, which is a critical skill I need to work on. In being with the same company for so long, we have seen our fair share of change, and I do eventually come around, but I think I could do it faster and better if I were more flexible and adaptive when I first become aware of changes on the way. Sometimes we learn of change the day of, via email, and it definitely throws me for a loop.
That is my main function within the group, to facilitate the day-to-day actions of the other members. If something needs to get done, I assign a member that task and then follow up until completion. The only draw back so far is my aggressive attitude towards mission accomplishment has caused some of the other members to recent my approach. I do not always ask for things in a nice way, I think being direct is the quickest way to get something completed. The biggest affect that it has on the group is slowing down the amount of work that was getting completed.
