My mother is the most inspiring person in my life. The reason why I chose my mother is because she is really all I have. She is my motivation, she has always been there for me and helps me live through all my struggles even during the most difficult times in my life I knew I could turn to her. I grew up with a mother and a father, but my mother was the one who pushed me to my true potential and kept me focused on doing better in school. Overall, my mother has molded me into a better student and young man.
I have grown to be loving, respectful, and polite. I have two children myself, and now I make sure that they are raised in church also. My mother has taught me to become the woman I am today. She has influenced me in all aspects of my life. She raised me to be respectful, educated, generous, and kind.
I would always go to my boyfriend’s house instead. After my mother kicked me out, I dropped out of high school completely and moved in with my boyfriend. He’s 14 years older and he always supported me in whatever I did. He also gave me money whenever I needed it, and bought me everything I needed. He was the first man that ever made me feel loved.
My family raised me to be a strong and good person and I love them so much, especially my mom. My mom has been my best friend ever since the day I was born. I would hate to lose her. Without her, I don’t know what I’d do since she's the one who brought me into this world. Also, my dad has always been there to help me make tough decisions and I love him a lot.
He always thought I’d go far, but here I am unemployed going through dozens of jobs not sticking to any of them and back at home. My brother Happy and I were dreaming big, we wanted to sell sporting goods. The Loman brothers together again doing what we love playing ball just like we did at school. I knew what I would do I’d go see Bill Oliver my old boss, he always admired me I was his favorite salesclerk. We told our father our idea and he was so excited he knew we’d make it.
English 9A: Growing Up: Family Narrative Mia Ippoliti My Family Narrative Last year my family and I took a spring break vacation to the beautiful state of Washington. Originally we had wanted to visit the Olympic Peninsula because of our love for the Twilight Saga book series but after researching on-line we realized that there was lots to see besides the infamous small city of Forks. We planned to visit the only rain forest in the United States as well as several wild nature beaches where we would spend low tide hours exploring the sea life inside of tide pools. We also planned to stay a few nights at two different Native American reservations on the west coast right on the Pacific Ocean! We named the trip "Our Wild Northwest Adventure."
What I didn’t know was that the fact of how difficult it was going to be to overcome the feeling of being lonely, since he left me and my family. My older brother and I were always very close with our grandfather as we were growing up. We would do everything together. He was the first person who introduced us how to ride a bike, how to play chess, how to play basketball. He even got me my very own basketball hoop in my backyard for my birthday, but unfortunately as time flew by life took all this from us.
My parents divorced when I was two, so my mom got custody over me and my brother. I saw my dad once a week at the most, and he had to pay child support. My mom taught tennis, so she made decent money, but my dad’s child support is what really helped us through the years. I had and still have a very strong bond with my mom, she raised my brother and I all those years without too much help. My dad means a lot to me, but he has always been very distant.
My family has given me the opportunity to be a student, when I chose to become a mother and wife first. Their unwavering support has been a spirit lifter when at times I felt defeated. As my family watches me sacrifice the everyday bonding with my children that most get to enjoy, they stand back in the shadows with their heads held high admiring my drive from the background. My strength and passion to succeed is a badge of honor in their eyes. My passion has become their biggest and proudest moment.
Racheal Ray English 1301 February 12, 2011 My Mother On a day to day basis, we are influenced by something, or someone that has a lasting effect in our lives. The fondest memories of my life have all been influenced by family members. To my belief, my mother “Mary Alice Hendrix” is one of the most influential. I am the person and mother I am today cause of her. When I describe my mother, there is nothing critical about it; it is all admiration.
