It could be you or your loved one in that small fraction. Also just because someone’s life wasn’t taken from texting and driving doesn’t mean it hasn’t affected their life in some way or another. For example, most of these collisions that don’t end in death either in my brain injury, paralyzation and so on. Texting is one of the most dangerous things you can do on the road. I can almost guarantee you that without awareness of this issue these numbers will continue to rise.
Americans need to start sticking up for what’s right in their country and should stop being bullied by the government. Sticking up will take a lot of effort and time but for it to be accomplished then Americans should protest non-violently and write letters to the government. These letters and non-violent protests will make the government realize that the Americans are right, and that the crack cocaine dealers will get reduced jail
I don’t think the people should be able to get off that easy simply because of a legal mishap and in fact disgusts me that his has happens numerous times every year. If we could change this I believe it would have an extremely positive impact on our society and make it even more difficult for criminals to get off unpunished. References Tankebe, J. (2009). Policing, procedural fairness and public behavior: a review and critique.
This resolution should encompass salaries getting delayed even as long as an ordinary recess. Many people should support this idea due to the strenuous dilemmas that occur because of great proposals being killed in action. This resolution should be designed to counter “other people” personal problems. This bill will put the fire out. The fire of strategic and downright unethical tactics will be extinguished with this great resolution.
April 2, 2012 Malcolm X Essay The Autobiography of Malcolm X did come across some inappropriate moments. For example, the drug dealing, gambling, sex, and race. In my opinion, parents should not object the material in the autobiography because it is material students should know and be aware of. Things like this happen in the real world and parents do not want their children to be completely oblivious to their bad surroundings. Even though there was a lot of things in the Autobiography that parents may not find okay for students to read, they need to understand that things like that can happen anywhere in the world.
Drugs affect government and allegiances in terrifying ways but what about what happens to the families affected by narcotics? Drug abuse affects all people within the family. The addict is affected through their own self-destructive behavior while the rest of the family suffers through the devastation that it causes; involving them and affecting their lives. Drug abuse can tear families apart. The only way to resolve this ever so rampant issue is to educate the world about the pain accompanied by the high they would
The use of drugs such as cocaine, crack, heroin and marijuana has been proved to cause unbelievable damage and harm to the body and brain. In the Article “Info Facts-Heroin” reports that thousands of heroin addicts die from overdoses each year and heroin users are also at great risk of getting aids from the use of unclean needles. By legalizing drugs every one would have the right to consume drugs without any restrictions which would lead hospitals to be more filled, more school dropouts would occur, and more crack babies raise the stakes of legalizing drugs. Knowing what drugs do to users has been the solid basis for my saying no to drugs and why I believe they should not be
They are a tell tale sign which demands reform. We need to show them the true path to take. Denial of freedom is punishment enough, there is no need to make harsher penalties for nonviolent offenders. The only in pact that will come from that is huge costs for tax-payers and an overall more dangerous society. Although I believe there needs to be serious reform in prisons, there are many different reasons why the system is set up the way.
Troy Unger 6 Oct. 2010 Capital Punishment Prisons in the United States have some major flaws. The prison system is not adequate in keeping the crime rate low. The United States prisons system needs a drastic overhaul very soon; it needs to revert back in time and stop giving prisoners modern conveniences. The prison system also needs to hand out harsher punishment to inmates and other felons alike. Capital punishment should be a tool used on many serious felons instead of life in jail.
Citizens of the U.S. need to rid themselves of these dogmatic laws and create a new set of laws. The only thing that Reagan’s 1984 National Minimum Drinking Age Act has accomplished is forcing the drinking right underground. Unfortunately, the federal government has state governments blackmailed, because if they allow the drinking age to lower, the states federal highway funding will be cut. These laws are actually a consistent source of revenue for the government. Government knows that people are going to break these laws, and hope to catch every single criminal, and nail them for every court fee, fine, probation fee, and as much bail as they can dish out.
