ADHD, attention deficits hyperactive disorder, is seen as the same as ADD but with hyperactivity joined with it. These disorders are psychological disorders that are marked by having one or more of the key symptoms: extreme inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity (Myers, 2009). This means that in a classroom of twenty to thirty children, there is most likely at least one child with this disorder (Child Development Institute, 2010). If these children are properly treated they can lead a very normal and productive life (Child Development Institute, 2010). In truth, most traits found in these children can help them have very successful lives later (Child Development Institute, 2010). Though for these children to flourish, it is essential for positive growth that they are in a loving, supportive, and consistent environment (Child Development Institute, 2010). Children with this disorder tend to have average or above average intelligence, and are known to be creative with a high energy level (Child Development Institute, 2010). On top of having problems with time management, focus, excreta, this disorder can affect sex drive in adults (Low, 2011). For some adults their sex drive will be exponentially high, whereas others it will be extremely low compared to a normal adult (Low, 2011). Some of the adults are to easily distracted or losses focus quickly, which would make the act of sex harder (Low, 2011). It also is normal for adults with this disorder to be hypersensitive to sensory stimulation, so a sensual touch may fell irritating or even annoying (Low, 2011). When an adult with ADD/ADHD losses interest in sex the spouse of the adult feels a major sense of rejection, which is completely natural (Low, 2011). On the other side adults with ADD whose sex drive or need for stimulation can be so high that it also causes problems in a relationship (Low, 2011).
