Ambrose, Stephen E. Undaunted Courage. New York: Simon and Schuster Paperbacks, 1996, 521 pp. My Review of Undaunted Courage Stephen E. Ambrose’s work, Undaunted Courage, he gives a great insight into the marvelous adventure that would help establish the United States’ claim to the new western world known as, the Louisiana Purchase. This award winning book is great for students and educators alike, because it goes into astonishing detail about the fascinating journey of Lewis and Clark. It goes into the good and the bad throughout the whole expedition, while some parts are in my opinion a bit of a bore, it is made up by some very exciting action.
Response Paper #6 Chapter five of Secret Soldiers proved to be the most intriguing reading I have accomplished thus far in class. I enjoyed how Gerard portrayed a storyline into the informative facts that have occurred in our great nations history. He was able to pull me in and get me interested as a reader right from the beginning of the reading. Gerard provides in this chapter, the relationship between sound, artists/musicians and war. Gerard explains how one's love for sound and electronics, Walter Manser, led him to profoundly aiding to the link between sound and effective war deception tactics.
1870 Canyon Loop Circle Richmond Hill, GA 31324 February 13, 2011 Dear , The book I chose to read for my book report was awesome! It kept me in suspense and made me feel like I was a living character of the story! The name of the book is Jacob’s Rescue: A Holocaust Story. It was published in and written by Malka Drucker and Michael Halperin. Although some of the events were changed in the book, the story about Jacob was a true experience!
Plus, Madeline Pumariega, President Dr. Thomas Meyer, Dean of Academic Affairs; and Dr. Rosa Mayorga, Chair, Department of Arts and Philosophy of the Wolfson Campus for their continued support. To begin, I felt that the instrumentalists all performed pretty well even though it was just a rehearsal before the concert. The composers were able to play each of their individual instruments good enough that the compositions they performed were in tune and it sounded as though we were actually in the real concert that they performed later that day. “You And The Night And The Music” is a song composed by Arthur Schwartz with lyrics by Howard Dietz debuted on November 28, 1934; “Summertime” was composed by George Gershwin for the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess, re-harmonized by Mike Di Liddo; “I Feel Fine” song written by John Lennon Paul McCartney
Bryne, J. P. "Two Cheers for Gentrification." Howard University Law Journal 46 (2003): 405-25. Print. I originally read this excerpt in the book “Gentrification,” and decided to look further into it for it seemed it could be a very valuable reference. I was correct.
Even though the film was made a good 60 years ago, I feel that you are still able to happily watch it today and be told a good story from it. From its interesting story, to it’s classic and catchy songs, it makes for an entertaining watch the whole way through. I would be interested to see if they would do a modern making of the show, It would be nice to see what adaptations they would take to make it appeal to people of todays
That word “hillbilly” just makes so much sense for me and I can totally relate to that terminology. That relating is exactly what made that music such an integral part of those early immigrants lives and for that matter, for my family as well. What is fascinating however, is exactly how that relating is relayed musically. There’s a lot about blue grass that is very appealing. The storytelling element found in bluegrass is similar to the storytelling element found within operatic music.

Justine Likuka Student #: S669567 Advanced Old Testament Survey Assignment #:1 Essay Submitted October 15, 2014 Introduction I was greatly thrilled and enjoyed my time reading “A Journey Through the Old Testament” by Elmer Towns. His approach to the subject made interesting reading and raised my interest to dig deeper on the topic. His opening remarks are fascinating as he says “Certain people make history. They are generals who win wars, explorers who discover new areas, rulers who bring about change in society, or thinkers who write books and/or transform the world with their ideas”. Beginnings are important.
I am saying those people did an amazing job to make this film look like it is in the 1960s. When I looked at the dressing and makeup, I can imagine their life in the 1960s. It is a perfect match. "It’s an exceptional film, not because of its protagonists’ impressive triumphs, but because it honors their struggle"
