The name Teddy Bear comes from former United States President Theodore Roosevelt, whose nickname was "Teddy". The name originated from an incident on a bear hunting trip in Mississippi in November 1902, to which Roosevelt was invited by Mississippi Governor Andrew H. Longino. There were several other hunters competing, and most of them had already killed an animal. A suite of Roosevelt's attendants, led by Holt Collier,[2] cornered, clubbed, and tied an American Black Bear to a willow tree after a long exhausting chase with hounds. They called Roosevelt to the site and suggested that he should shoot it.

Well I have to fill you in on that, when I was twelve years old I was on a hunt in Autauga county Alabama which is also known as Prattville I got the opportunity to climb in the stand with my dad one evening on the hunt and kill my first deer. That evening it felt different than any other time I was getting in the stand, it was like I knew that something good was going to happen. The book is based on a hunting trip on a safari in Africa. It takes place with Francis Macomber the hunter and Margot as his wife along for the trip and Robert Wilson as the tour guide.in the beginning of the book Francis Macombers goal is to pouch animals. When they were on their expedition they happened upon a lion and Francis Macomber wanted to kill it but he got scared and didn’t have the grace under pressure in the first attempt to kill it even though he seems all confident. “If I get him where should I hit him” (hemmingway11). When he finally got the courage to shoot the lion he hit him once but the lion unfortunately ran into the tall grass in the safari.
The dogs quickly kill off one other contestant, and are in pursuit of Peeta and Katniss. They run to the center of the arena and jump on a metal hut. The last of the tributes was actually waiting on the hut for them. He grabs Peeta and is about to throw him to the dogs, but Katniss shoots him with a bow and he falls off the hut. The dogs kill him, and Peeta and Katniss wait anxiously to be proclaimed winners.
