Issue: Drink Driving, Lowering the Blood Alcohol Concentration limit to at least 0.02. Intro: The topic I will be discussing today is a problem that occurs not only on Australian roads, but on roads worldwide. It is the topic of drink driving. I will be arguing why the Australian government should lower the Blood Alcohol Concentration limit to at least 0.02 for full licenced drivers. Drink Driving is a serious offence that has MANY negative outcomes to it.
I think its about time we have this tough sentences so this people may reconsider what they do outside night clubs at 4 am when they are drunk out of their minds and they need to remember that one punch can kill and 10 years of jail might just make them remember that. Infact imagine something like that were to happen to someone you love, like your beloved mother or your annoying brother who you still love so much.. would you really think the offender should get away with what he has done, after taking the life out of the person you love most. Think of it like this, why should a person who ended someoen life FOREVER, get to keep his normal life? This has to end, we can not let such a thing affect any Australian life, we can not live in fear so that alcohol users can be idiots abd be irresponsible and harm innocent lives. The harsher the law can be against such vioilence the less it will be happening and together we can end this corruption.
Laws do in fact change to fit the needs of society as society is developing; it is constantly changing, to fit these ever-changing needs means that the laws also have to change. A key issue is the “King Hit” or “One Punch” legislation, which has prevented the loss of lives since 2000. This is when a person is knocked unconscious within one punch. The “King Hit” or “One Punch” issue is an issue in today’s society as this has created a number of deaths within the Australian society. This is an issue as it is generally in a drunken environment; a research has been said that alcohol was involved in almost three-quarters of deaths recorded between 2000 and 2012.
The second would be to hire a marketing expert to help increase the publicity of the bar. And lastly, the lounge could start to have weekly live entertainment from big name artists. Hiring a marketing expert to increase publicity and popularity is the recommendation. The best possible scenario is that the Chapters lounge would regain its popularity and the amount of guests will increase exponentially causing the amount of monthly revenue to go up by 88% in the first year. The worst scenario is that the publicity doesn’t help and people continue to go to the other bars and this would cause the revenue to keep dropping.
Rioters began violence at the famous corner of Florence and Normandie where they threw beer cans at surrounding cars and attacked any passing people. Around the same time, protesters gathered and rallied around news stations like KTLA. Daryl Gates, the chief of the LAPD, originally claimed the police had the issue under control, but it progressed into the declaration of an official "State of Emergency." Two thousand National Guard troops are deployed to popular spots to prevent violence. Later that day, Gates announced that there were four thousand more National Guard members requested and intended to be deployed the next day.
Schoolies Problems: Alcohol - Widely considered a week long alcohol binge, schoolies week is most criticized for excessive drinking and problems that flow from this. In 1995, 75% of male schoolies and 53% of female schoolies report being drunk most or every day or night of Schoolies Week. More recently laws have been changed at a Federal level increasing the tax on pre-mixed spirits, and at a state level in Queensland to focus on parents supplying alcohol to their children in an irresponsible way. Fines issued by Police related to alcohol laws have raised considerable funds for state governments, particularly at Gold Coast Schoolies year over year the policing of these offences has increased and the revenue has increased proportionally.
Title: The pollution in China leads to health threat. In recent years, China’s economy has become one of the fastest growing in the world. However, at the same time, we are also facing the worsening problem of pollution. Everyone on earth will aware of the terrible situation: water loss and soil erosion along with the gray and cloudy sky on the industrial city. For example, every spring Beijing have the bad sand storm, at that time, people have to wear a respirator if you want to go out.
Before people wouldn’t mind attending public functions in the city, taking their family out to parks, and other outdoor activities, but this steady increase in criminal activity has led people to be afraid to attend these functions since they can become a victim and a statistic. Due this rise in criminal activity the Belize City Council (C.I.T.C.O) has made it mandatory that all social night spots in Belize City be closed by 2:00 a.m. Other necessary steps are being taken by the Police Department to crack down on the criminal activities, and put those well known criminal elements away. By taking these necessary steps, there are some innocent people who get profiled because any one can be an element, they come
Because of the continuous growth of the population and crime, officers have been force to treat them all differently. Today we are going to look at the history of policing in the United States as it relates to how officers relate to different ethnic groups along with the social issues that come with it. Over the years the crime rate have went up making the law enforcement officers job hard to do. Since the border have been open for everyone to come over to the United States, the crime rate have risen. Law Enforcement is making arrest every minute from different ethnic groups.
Prior to 1965, gay and lesbian bars were subject to constant raids in cities across the United States. The raids were often brutal and violent. Police would use any type of justification to arrest people attending the clubs, charging them with indecency for kissing, dancing with one another, holding hands, cross dressing or even just being at the bar. The police felt especially threatened by the lesbian community. During that time
