Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Monica Wright Everest University Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs In this essay I will be writing about The Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. What define about all five of the categories ‘of Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs are. Physiological Needs, Safety Needs, Love /Belonging Needs, Self –esteem Needs, and Self actualization Needs. These needs are the most basic level, humans need to survive and communicate that will helps us to meet this need. Within the physiological needs there are physical requirements for human survival. If these requirements aren’t met the human body cannot function properly and will ultimately fail. Physiological needs are thought to be the most important, so it should be met first. As an example I need to get properly rest at night in order for me to be physiological fit and in order to deal with life in children. Another example is reading beneficial books in order for me to be physiological mentally prepared for school to past my test. Safety needs are with their physical need relatively satisfied, the individuals safety needs take precedence and dominate behavior. In the absence of physical safety- due to war, natural disaster, etc. Safety needs are through communication mainly. As an example my car had gotten a flat tire when I was on my way going to work so I had to contact a tow truck, so that I want be held in a danger environment with being on an express way. Love and belonging needs this fulfilled the third level of human needs. Interpersonal and involves feelings of belongingness. This need is strong because we all need others to enjoy our daily life and to interact with social group. As an example my daughter and family is a part of my everyday life, they are the ones that I naturally have love for and care about and I know that I can’t do without them because they belong to me and is part of my life.
