You just made the front page of the New York Times for doing something important that no one before you has ever thought to do. What did you do and why did you do it?
“Look! It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s Superman.” “No it’s the U.S. Armed Forces.” This is the New York Times headline explaining the design innovations in which my company would implement to not only protect, but to boost the natural abilities of our armed forces. Being a child of a U.S. infantry soldier, I understand the need of proper body armor for soldiers. I always wished that I could give my own father the uniform of a superhero. It would be a uniform that could withstand bullets, bombs, and keep him warm in the winter and cool in the summer. As I got older, I believed that this dream could be a reality with new technological innovations and ingenuity.
The uniform would consist of tiny cells which are an entity of their own, and can regenerate themselves. The suit is light so that soldiers can run, and move easily in it. Since the suit can regenerate, it can still remain functioning after being severely damaged. The fabric under the armor is silk, because silk keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The armor is invisible so that they are camouflaged in any type of weather condition. Every soldier is provided with a watch that has a GPS, tracker, translator, phone, and calculator. They also have a jet-pack that flies them through the sky like Superman. When wearing the uniform, the soldiers obtain super-strength, and immunity to bombs. According to the New York Times, my uniform is the best invention since the iPhone.
Besides being a clever and ground-breaking idea, it is the right thing to do, for the troops give so much to our society. This uniform would be just the type of security and reassurance that America needs to keep up with the current society. There is something about superheroes that keeps America hopeful, and it is comforting to know that there are more than...
