Have you ever stopped to think of all the steps you take in pregnancy and having a child? It is a life changing experience that I can honestly say I will never forget. In 2010 I found out some news that would forever change my life as I knew it. I was pregnant with my first child. This was one of the scariest and most exciting moments I had ever had in my life. I was going to finally be a Mom. I would soon be responsible for someone’s life and making sure I made all the right decisions to guide them the best way I could in life. Who knew one moment could change everything around you and make you see life in a completely different way? The nine months that followed were the most exciting and nerve wrecking moments of my life. From doctors’ appointments to deciding on the name I can honestly say it kept me busy. I remember going in for the ultrasound to find out the babies gender and I had my boyfriend and my mother in the room. I never felt so happy in my life. I knew either way that I would love that child to no end. When the ultrasound tech said “it’s a girl” I felt like I was frozen in that moment. I could grasp that this was real and I am now going to be a Mommy to a beautiful little girl. That was one of the best days of my life. As the months carried on I realized just how much work actually goes into preparing for a child. I had to start being even more responsible with my money and I began reading books on pregnancy and caring for a baby. This was all new to me so I wanted to prepare as best I could for her arrival.
