Lonny Castillo English 101 Section 11089 Having a job has it’s good times and it’s not so good times. So to me, I have had a couple of amazing jobs all over arizona. Then I had some of those jobs where you are just counting down every second till you get to leave home a free man. For example, my first job was working as a receptionist for a tax company in a small building, in a not so great neighborhood. It was a great first job, don’t get me wrong. But the environment wasn’t as professional as I thought it would be. My boss who was great at times, would come off as a “creeper” to others. He was a chain smoker, always energetic, and when he noticed I had a crush on a co-worker, he would encourage me to ask her out. Now I was thinking that there could be no romancing in the work place. But I did not care about the rules at the time because I just wanted to get to know this girl that I was working with. Turns out though that it wasn’t going to work out between us. Besides my boss getting in my personal business, the area the office was in was just not well. The office was next to a run down neighborhood, where most people were getting raped or kidnapped. On one of the days, there was a gang shooting in the parking lot. A little girl got hurt because of this random shooting. She didn’t die, but she shouldn’t have been hurt in the first place. Another problem I had with this job were the customers that in for service. Many were very rude to us and had no respect at all. Some would scream in our face telling us we did our job wrong.
