To worship is to be in contact with God. It’s a call where you communicate with god and ask for forgiveness or reflect your actions. It’s about making religious acts and being thankful and meaning it all, with the right intentions and a pure heart. It’s to feel like you belong to a certain community and to feel special and be proud of it. If you are worshipping meaningfully it’s because you want to and are willing, however, can worship only be meaningful at a place of worship? One the one hand, gathering together as a community and worshipping together makes it more meaningful as the prayer will be more powerful. You are surrounded by the people who share the same religious beliefs as you, therefore, you feel like you are closer to God. Not only that, but you’ll also feel more proud of your religion. It will bring everyone together with happiness and peace and boost your confidence as these are the spirits of having a community, such as in Islam. Muslims gather together at a Mosque, where they worship only 1 God; Allah. They pray 5 times a day and these are the times of day when you are closest to God. When praying together, they stand shoulder to shoulder and join their feet with the person left and right of them so as to not be distracted when praying. This is because they believe that by separating your feet, it will allow the devil Shaytan to pass and try to distract you from praying to Allah. When Muslims pray with other people, they get more good deeds or hassanats. Muslims believe that the more good deeds you have the more chance you have of going to paradise in future. This proves that worship is more meaningful when you are together as a community at your place of worship sharing your beliefs with other people and making your prayers more meaningful together.
