Worldview Application Assignment Abortion Introduction The topic I choose to talk about is abortion. This issue has always been closer to my heart because my church back in Roanoke, Virginia has always helped out at the Blue Ridge Women’s Pregnancy center. The stories that I have heard from girls are so sad, but I am so glad that they have place that they can turn to for help. The moral argument is that I have learned and believed my entire life is that life starts at conception; this is true and is proven in the Bible. So, the Biblical stance on abortion is Pro-Life, and the opposite is Pro-Choice. People who are Pro-Choice think that women should have the choice because it is their body, and a big argument I hear all the time is that “they were raped, and they did not ask for that.” The Pro-Life stance is that the child has the right to live and should be protected by the government. Whether people are Pro-Choice or Pro-Life, it’s considered murder if a parent kills their child once they are outside of the womb. I do not understand the difference; they are both living and breathing humans who have a right to live. Abortion is the killing of babies in the womb, and there can be cases where others view it more acceptable but the Bible clearly states that it is wrong. Body The issue of abortion has been a battle for many years; abortion is morally wrong. The Bible clearly spells it out in many cases. One of the first that comes to mind is in Exodus twenty-one which talks about that if someone strikes a pregnant women and causes harm, then he shall be pay life for life (Exodus 21:22-23). As Christians, we are called to a higher lifestyle than those of the world. Christians are supposed to be the example for others to lead them to Christ.
