It is common knowledge that poverty or destitution refers to the deprivation of basic human needs, which are food, water, sanitation, clothing, shelter, health care and education. However, There are not many people who know exactly what are the causes. As far as I am concerned, there are three main factors lead to poorness: Ignorance, Diseases and Apathy. Thus, superior solutions are useful to deal with the problem .

      The first element to mention is the lack of information and knowledge. It goes without saying that "Knowledge is power" and power helps people overcome their difficulties.   If they know nothing about some basic fields, they will probably run into poverty. In many poor countries, the illiteracy rate is too high that local authorities have to find more and more effective   policies to delete this status quo. In my point of view, I strongly recommend that education for all people is not necessary because it includes too many things. We ought to provide enough information and skills that one lacks.   For instance, it will not help a farmer to know that Romeo and Juliet both died in Shakespeare's play, but it would be much more useful to know which kinds of seed would survive the local soil, and which would not. In other words, it is the ignorance that is partly responsible for the poorness, and suitable solutions should be applied to tackle this.

      The second element to mention is diseases. When a community has a high disease rate, absenteeism is high, productivity is low, and less wealth is created. This is the answer for what causes poverty in many countries since an unhealthy community can't produce any good products which are helpful to improve the quality of life. Therefore, the reduction in sickness is one of the most prior solutions in many nations. To achieve this, people should receive good health care as well as the provision of pure water and clean food.
