World hunger is a condition that results from Malnutrition, lack of food supply, and dehydration all around the globe. Extreme and general scarcity of food all over the world creates World Hunger. Even though poverty is the principal cause of world hunger, the harmful economic and political system, over population, climate change is also playing a big role. The number of hungry people has risen in recent years, affecting mostly the children who die due to starvation. Lots of organizations devoted to raising awareness about global hunger issues. They are trying to reduce the hunger by influencing public to support poor people, contributing financially and work directly with poor people. I also want to fight against world hunger by contributing to organization that does support poor people. In near future I would like to be a part of “World Vision Canada” and sponsor a child by donating $39 per month. I think that every little contribution can change the situation that keep people trapped in poverty and help reduce world hunger. From my research I found that Somalia has faced the worst hunger crisis in the last 60 years. More than 10 million people are living without enough food, clean water and basic sanitation. The number of undernourished people decreased nearly 30 percent in Asia and the Pacific, from 739 million to 563 million, Latin America and the Caribbean also made progress, falling from 65 million hungry in 1990-1992 to 49 million in 2010-2012.The number of hungry grew in Africa over the period, from 175 million to 239 million, with nearly 20 million added in the last few years. Nearly one in four are hungry.
