Revolutionary Women: The Change Within
The article, “How to Be a Good Wife” addresses the audience with what women go through to accomplish their role as a “good wife”. The article mainly spoke about women’s preparation of household chores, how a house wife should be like and how to enlighten their husbands. The text also provides information on women taking part of a role as a mother, wife, provider, and supporter. Without women in this world, men would be completely lost and would not have someone to guide their life in the right way. That is why perfect wives come in the picture and show their husbands how perfect and useful they really can be. I was left with one word when I finished reading the article and it was simply, “wow”. At first I could not believe I was reading a guideline on “How to be a perfect wife”. All I thought about when I was browsing through the text was my own mother and what she must have gone through to become a “good wife” to my father. I believe that my mom has passed the test and exceeded the limitations because all I see from my mom’s presence at home is a hardworking mother and a loving wife. She beats herself day and night to comfort my father after he arrives from work and feeding her children after they arrive from school. I can say that I agree with almost everything written in the article. It shows the simple logic of what a wife should do and what they go through every day. Not only to satisfy her pride, but also to accomplish her husband’s expectations. There is not a single thing that I can disagree on because this is a perfect guide to women. In my opinion, all the ladies need to read this before moving on to the next phase. The next article, “I Want a Wife”, addresses to us the necessary needs for a wife and why it is important. The article essentially speaks about having a caretaker, lover, and companion. Only one person fits the description of that role...
