For those who dont* know, the *willie* lynch letter was a *hoax.? the paper was cleary created to make blacks feel victimized by whites. some people say that the person who created it was black and there is some pretty good supporting evidence that makes that claim seem true. now, i know there is real ignorance and real racism out there but sometimes, to me;. it seems like we just have people out there trying to scare us and make us hate one another. what do you think about the willie lynch letters and the person who fabricated them facts: (and before you get angry, please verify this information. google it for all i care):There is a large body of written materials from the slavery era, yet there is not one reference to a William Lynch speech given in 1712. This is because there was no speech. there was no willie lynch. Since the Willie Lynch speech was not mentioned by any slavemasters, pro-slavery advocates, abolitionists, or historians studying the slavery era, the question of course is when did it appear? The first reference to the Willie Lynch speech was in a late 1993 on-line listing of sources, posted by Anne Taylor, who was then the reference librarian at the University of Missouri at St. Louis.Taylor in her 1995 email exchanges with the late Dr. William Piersen (Professor of History, Fisk University) taylor has also cited the first ever publication of the paper. It was printed in a local, widely-distributed, free publication called The St. Louis Black Pages, 9th anniversary edition, 1994*, pg8, the Lynch speech was popularized at the Million Man March (held in Washington, DC) on October 16, 1995, when it was referred to by Min.
