Wildness Areas Preservation

Nations should pass laws to preserve any remaining wildness areas in their natural state, even if these areas could be developed for economical gain. Nowadays more and more ponderance has been placed on the preservation of the wildness areas since the inexorable march of science and technology and the rapid development of our society have resulted in irreversible and tremendous damage to our environment. Under this circumstance, the speaker advocated passing laws to preserve any reaming wildness area, even when they could be developed for economical gain. For the most part, I fundamentally agree with this statement for the following three reasons: First and foremost, these wildness areas are home to a myriad of plant and animal resources, which is of great significance for scientific study: Pharmacologists can extract useful, sometimes even magical material from the herbs and make it into medication; geneticists can dabble in this huge pool of genetics and make important discovery; biologists can knock open the door of life science with the key---- the abundant resources in wildness areas, a living textbook for the scientific study. Furthermore, for the moment astronomical living being are on distinction and a large portion of creatures on the earth are dying out in an escalating speed because of the expansion of human population and the grievous pollution of the environment. As a result, by preserving the remaining wildness areas we can offer habitats to the threatening species and slow down the diminishing process of the species diversity. Last but not least, wildness areas play a vital role in climatic fluctuation. To illustrate this point, we needn't go further than looking at Amazon rainforest, which is considered as the "lung of the earth", home to almost half of all species in this planet.
