Storm water, irrigation runoffs, sediments, fertilizers, and fecal matter deposits, are some of the discharges contributed by sewage treatment plants. These runoffs have contributed to the beach closures, and the unsustainable condition of biological life in the lake.
Society is obsessed with productivity becoming cheap, which has made more problems regarding pesticides. Humans are not respecting the design of nature and valuing the relationship, the animals and plants have with each other. The animals eat the plants that have no use and the animals fertilize the plants. Over 10 million herbicides have been poured on the land of the farmers that has caused them to loose about 90% diversity and their soil is depleting quicker. What they’re farming are not animals, but are farming grass.
The poisons will kill fish and the reef in which the fish live because there is no precise way to deliver it. The fishermen will dump the poison on the water in a likely spot and catch what floats up. The problem with poison is that it does not choose what it kills, so it kills reefs and poisons the area for new generations, then the fishermen go on to another area to repeat the destruction. Many of the aquatic invertebrates are responsible for keeping the ecosystem clean by feeding on litters. Extinction of theses invertebrates would totally disrupt the balance of the ecosystem. The aim of this study is to bring awareness about the harmful impact global warming has on the local aquatic invertebrates and on the ecosystem at a global scale. The hypothesis for this study is that the biotic diversity of the slow moving water and fast moving water are driven by abiotic factors. To support this hypothesis, three predictions were made.
As youth we need to help as best we can in creating our ocean more sustainable. Many people are unaware of what is happening on our oil rigs, we need to make sure everyone is educated on what is going on and make sure that everyone is trying to make the ocean more sustainable. Oil spills are very dangerous to marine life; we need to make sure we do everything to protect it. Many people rely on Newfoundland waters for fish to eat, and to make a living. Contaminating these waters will not only harm the wildlife, but it will kill a source of food that is so dominant in Newfoundland, and also will harm hundreds of people’s jobs.
Not only is the water unfit for human consumption, it is now destroying the marine ecosystem and this is serious business when you consider how important the ocean's health is to human survival. People excrete wastes and litter that flow into water systems, and animal habitats, this is slowly polluting water and killing wildlife. And the more the population grows the more wasted were going to produce and cause pollution and damage to the environment. More housing and buildings being built means that were building over were habitats live, the loss of these forests leads to extinction of plants and animals. Also more people means that more goods (like clothes, TVs etc) are wanted, more jobs are needed so more factories are being built witch is affecting out air pollution, which eventually is destroying out atmosphere. Also more food is required so more intensive farming methods are used.
