Wildlife in Danger The great variety of living things is biodiversity. Wildlife is a living thing isn’t it? People are taking advantage of our planets resources, like destroying habitats, causing pollution and causing global warming, the list goes on. Wildlife is becoming extinct in the forest, the oceans and even rivers and ponds. Various animals rely on each other in order to survive. I’m sure you know that plants make their own food; animals get their food by eating plants or even each other. If those plants or animals die, what will the other animals have to eat? There’s times when its nature who damages habitats and puts species at risk, and that’s ok because there’s really nothing we can do about it. Other times it’s our actions and our choices that don’t allow plants and animals to survive. Half of the rain forest has been completely wiped out, the animals’ homes are gone forever and that’s a huge threat to wildlife. We are chopping down the forest for cheap wood, so we can build houses and what not. Are humans really that selfish? Destroying something that an animal once lived in so we can have wood? Let’s take a look at pandas, they depend on bamboo but apparently the bamboo in the forests have been cleared out and now they don’t have anything to eat. What do we even use bamboo for? Seems like they’re just taking it for fun doesn’t it? Wildlife in the ocean is also in danger; most of our planet is taken up by water. These animals in the ocean are in danger of becoming extinct, and are an important reminder as to why we humans need to clean up our act and work to protect our oceans from pollution and overfishing. Poaching is one of the reasons why our sea animals are in danger. Although poaching is banned in many countries, Iceland, Norway and Japan allow it, which is a huge advantage for them because they’ll have a lot more to kill. The ocean is what
