Why You Should Ban Gambling

People turn to drugs or crime to pay for their gambling addictions. Gambling causes crime. People become addicted to gambling trying their luck over and over again when the reality is they will be losing large amounts of money and they know it, but what can they do? When they very occasionaly do win they spend that money on more gambling and ultimately lose it later on. They've now got no money in their bank account and have lost everything due to gambling except for their addiction. They now have to chase their loses but where do they get enough money in a short period of time? The turn to Crime. Nearly one third of the gamblers arested admitted to have committed robery in the previous year and approximately 13% had assulted someone for money. These gamblers were also more likely to have sold drugs than the other arrestees. Gambling does cause an increase in crime. This crime is harmful to the people who are the victims of it. It is harmful to the people who are forced due to their addiction and it is also harmful to the wider community who has to live in fear of it. Which brings me to my next arguement. The community is morally weakened by gambling Our community is morally weakened by these gambling adictions. Gambling can be defined as aspiring for other peoples money with out working for it. It also leads us and our community away from the path of giving and kindness and closer to the path of rivelry. Its nice to give or if somebody gives you money out of their choice, at first gambling may have been a small game but now we are happy when the other person loses all their money and in some cases their life. The future of our communities lies with us. Young children around about our age. Children of gamblers are more likely to have poor grades at school and often grow up to be addicted to betting and other types of gambling. These children are
