PI AM SAM - All You Need is Love Introduction The main theme of the movie, I Am Sam, is the love. By using the importance of love over anything else, this demonstrates the ability to being a parent even though with a mental disability. For an example: the scene when Sam’s daughter, Lucy is asked “she needs more than what her father can give her.” Lucy’s reply to this is that ”All you need is love”.
