It is also the largest car company of about 331876 employees in Japan. Toyota was founded in 1933 by Kiichiro Toyoda and located in Tokyo. (TMC, 2013) Corolla, Crown and Lexus are Toyota's three most famous brands with different price levels. They are targeting at different consumer groups. Nowadays, we can see Toyota’s cars all over the world. There is no doubt that Toyota has been a very successful company. As a result, many corporations concentrate on the reasons for Toyota’s great success. The purpose of this essay is to analyze the factors that make Toyota so successful. The major part will be divided into three parts to analyze the Philosophy of training, the Toyota production system and the segmentation marketing strategy. The Philosophy of Training I think the philosophy of training within Toyota is a fundamental reason that causes it to be highly successful. Toyota’s philosophy of training is to consider the development of employees as the most important thing. A common expression heard around Toyota is, “We do not just build cars; we build people.”
