When making their class schedules, college students can usually choose between morning, afternoon and evening lessons. They may prefer one rather than another because they fit their daily routine better. Undergraduates at the English Teacher Training Course may be averse to attending evening classes because of weariness and late shift jobs.

Some students at this course of studies have problems paying attention in evening classes because they feel tired. They may not be able to concentrate on the topics dealt with during the lessons. For example, students that have an exhausting daily routine or those who do not get enough sleep may experience fatigue, one of the most common causes for an inability to concentrate on one topic for very long. This may result in undergraduates choosing morning or afternoon classes rather than evening classes so as to make them more profitable. These students are reluctant to take evening classes because of overwhelming sleepiness.

Some other students do not want to attend evening classes because they work during that part of the day. They may have a job to pay for their studies, to help their parents or to save some money for the future. The kinds of jobs that they may get are those that do not require a college degree, which are usually performed during the evening and at night. For example, they may work as servers at restaurants, receptionists at pubs or bartenders at bars. Undergraduates do not sign up for evening classes as they are busy working late shifts.

The English Teacher Training Course should offer more classes during the morning and afternoon rather than the evening, so students can make their schedules according to their preferences and obligations. This would allow undergraduates adopt good sleep habits, earn some money and organize their time better. A combination of these three factors would probably have a positive impact in their academic performances.
