Students don’t have that support from the teacher that they need to succeed in school. They struggle because the teacher is helping somebody else or having to teach the entire class. The final and main reason why high school grads are unable to read is failure of the parents. Parents are so wrapped up in their busy lives that they don’t make time for their children. Children are often home alone with too much independence.
They're not understanding why it is so important to go to school. Schools lose a lot of money due to students cutting class. They're also missing lectures causing them to get fail classes. Schools should have harsher consequences, such as two hours of Saturday school every unexcused absence. Therefore, the students can make up the work they missed.
“I hate homework!” Many kids across the country feel this strongly about doing homework. They would rather be playing with friends, watching television, playing video games, reading a good book, or just about anything else. I do not think that students should not have a lot of homework. Many kids don’t have a lot of time to do school homework because of out of school activities like sports and instruments. A lot of parents make their children do sports and they have to practice to get better.
Homework should be banned Schools should not give homework for a variety of reasons. Learning is best done at school and stress is often caused by work given by schools. The need to do lots of additional work makes pupils prefer not to learn more about the topic. As students do undesirable activities, they lose otherwise better spent time with their family and friends. Thus it is clear that homework should be banned.
Bad school experiences are also a large contributor for the school dropout rate. A large majority of dropout students were only taking the bare minimum general high school requirements. This is because no one pushed them to try harder. This made students feel that school was not important enough to try hard at. These students then do not even care because they do not think school is important.
A C average student has less work over the summer, if I was to become an AP student or honor student I will have more homework to complete for a grade to start of my new year. Also the teen to lose out on their summer, because there stressing about work that can, and should be reduced so that is not allot of pressure for the student and the teacher. Some students are just too lazy to complete the summer homework. I know that ther some student that have chosen a different road in life that just so happens to cause them to be lazy or just do not want to be in school at all. I know that there that kid that just like,I'm not doing my summer homework, summers for fun not for work. Not all students can be committed to completing summer homework.
The other side claims that year round school is essential for some, since student often forget a lot during the summer break. Nonetheless, Year round school is definitely not the answer, because it creates family conflict, it creates social problem, and it takes away job opportunities for students during the summer. Year round schooling has been reported to create family conflict due to the change in schedule. The reason why this has become a controversy for families, because children may not be on the same schedule as their sibling. One sibling might be enjoying his or her two month break while the other has to sit in class working.

You also fall behind in class and don’t know what is due and what homework assignment is given so then your grades falls even lower because you are not prepared for the next class. Also if you miss so many days your teacher may end up dropping you from the class and you are stuck with having to retake the course another time. So coming to school every day is very important and benefits you 100% without a doubt. plus if you are paying for it you would want to make use of your money and education.?
“Many children live on the wrong side of the tracks in places where education is not valued, where drugs, gangs and violence abound. And where schools are low-performing, they often lack community and health support” (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/franklin-schargel/the-real-reasons-children-drop-out-of-school).
