Why Rules Are Important

Rules are what society is made of, without them people would not see themselves as in a society. Rules insure that people who think they are above or exempt from society are contained, such as if you murder someone you are arrested, for the good of society. Of course not all these rules work and are not upheld properly but overall they are made to keep society together and for the good of the people. The people who inforce them may be unjust and cruel but without societies rules these are the people that might be running things since they seek to dominate people. This is why we would have anarchy without societies rules and why they are in place. To keep the masses in check. without rules there would be anarchy until sort of "tribes" or groups of people formed into another society and then eventually there would be rules again. Rules are unavoidable, the devil you know may be better than the devil you dont know. You have to obey state laws just like you do in school if not you''ll be hurt. Lets say your school rule is to not eat gum in class. I''ll tell you why,kids who eat gum,are not responsible or mature they stick their gum inside books,they throw it on the class rug or on the school ground{cafeteria,p.e]on school's property and school books cost alot and lot of money to replace books. and kids also stick it under their desk and for that matter they have to scrub it off or replace another desk. let's say no fighting in school,the reason is...because kids start aguring and ending up in a fight which can hurt someone. your friend might be recording a fight and it can be on youtube or mmbwatchtube. And you''ll be suspended less than 8 days or expelled from school. there are a lot of reasons why we need rules in our society. Legal and non-legal rules are both needed in our community. Most legal rules are enforced to keep the individuals of this society to feel
